"80's Show" was ludicrous abomination.Yes,they got the decade's styles of life and dress correct, but the writing made things appear as if we didn't do anything back then except go around overtly exhibiting the era we were living in as if we were all nothing more than billboards for the times.

That '80s Show wasn't a spinoff. It was a rehash, from the 2 of the same creators, and certainly crappy. But it didn't have any characters in common, and it didn't even take place in the same location.

Still, it was the only bad new show on Fox in the 2001-02 season, which also gave the world 24, The Tick, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Undeclared and The Bernie Mac Show.

The other pilots that year also looked really strong. There was one from the creator of NewsRadio, and another from the creator of Traffic Light.
Here is the script to another Fox pilot that season, What's Up Peter Fuddy?, starring Dave Foley and Arden Myrin, that was not picked up. Enjoy!

Sanford & Son and Sanford Arms were on NBC, not CBS.
