I guess NBC wanted to cash in on the popularity of 90's groups like New Kids On The Block and Nelson by having a sitcom about a fictional boy band in the form of Guys Next Door seeing how popular Saved By The Bell became. But I think Guys Next Door failed because I guess NBC thought it would rival Saved By The Bell but NBC would debut another music band sitcom called California Dreams shortly years after Guys Next Door got cancelled. Because I think NBC really wanted to have their own teen sitcom about music like The Partridge Family. Why did NBC give Guys Next Door poor treatment?
