I love this movie because it really showed an insight into what the Scripps National Spelling Bee is really like and Akeelah has so much talent into showing that she can be a top speller and win spelling bees. I don't know how they cast Keke Palmer in the role of Akeelah but Keke Palmer really is stellar as Akeelah. Was Akeelah And The Bee based on a true story?
