I've read comments elsewhere (https://www.reddit.com/r/fullhouse/comments/1fut5tr/comment/lq3v2pq/) that said that Season 6 was it because by that point, Jeff Franklin stepped away from the series to focus on Hangin With Mr. Cooper. From there, Marc Warren and Dennis Rinsler took over as showrunners. And right around that same time, the plots grew more and more outlandish, cartoonish, and unbelievable.
One way to tell the differences between a Franklin era episode and a Warren/Rinsler era episode is in the opening credits. If it’s a Franklin era episode, the credits are white and if it’s Warren/Rinsler, they’re yellow.
It was also around this time that a lot of plot and character inconsistencies started happening such as Becky not being able to sing, Jesse being a high school dropout all of a sudden, Jesse not knowing how to play basketball. Plus, there were the break-ups of both Danny and Vicki and DJ and Steve.
