In 2012 Game Show Network debuted it's first cooking competition called Beat The Chefs. Though it is odd for an all game show channel to debut a cooking competition many people thought Beat The Chefs would be a surprise hit. In an Iron Chef like format teams of chefs tried to design their favorite recipes with a team getting voted off each week and continued until the winning chefs won a money prize. Hosting Beat The Chefs was American Idol Season 3 runner-up Matt Rogers who I cannot imagine how they chose him to host this show but they did. I can see why Beat The Chefs was cancelled by Game Show Network because people thought it was an Iron Chef ripoff and i'm surprised Food Network didn't sue Game Show Network over copying Iron Chef
