Do you feel that you can have a better romantic relationship if your friends first? IMO It has an upside and a downside.

Upside:You already know each other and you don't have to bother trying to make a good first impression.

Downside:If you don't work as a couple your friendship might break apart espescially if your best friends.

Is this somehow connected to your "journal" on the boards?

I've often wondered how it's possible to be friends with someone before you become a couple.
When I meet a girl, if she's attractive, I notice it straight away and from that moment on it's impossible for me to be friends with her cos I'm so completely aware of how beautiful she is and I'm constantly trying to impress her.
Conversely, if I'm friends with a girl and I later notice that she is in fact rather attractive, I can't actually fancy her because we've been friends for so long.
For example, my best Emma is pretty good-looking but we've been friends since we were 4 years old so I can't be attracted to her because we've grown up together and know so much about each other.
Maybe that doesn't make sense, but it's true.
