I read on another site that because Bandstand left Philly in '64, (as year after the show is currently set) they will be having Meg and Roxanne follow Bandstand to LA, and have the show be from two perspectives... the two girls in LA, and the rest of the family in Philly. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't like that idea.

Well that doesn't make sense. Meg is 15 yrs old, I doubt her parents will let her go to LA to dance on some show.

So either the writers will disregard the fact that Bandstand moved to LA or they will have Meg and her Friend move to LA to go to college.

I don't like that idea but if it happens it happens i guess.also i don't think they'll let her go eith her parents seem stricts espichally her father he scares me cause he gets mad alot at everyone.and as for roxanne who knows she may go to la but if meg doesn't than i don't think roxanne will.thought roxanne is known for daring things but she's cool and the actress who plays her Vanessa has been on other shows.guess we'll see what happens next season.:) :D

Exec Prod. Jonathan Prince has said that the show will leave Philly for good if the show made it to a third year, not a second one. American Bandstand did leave Philly in 64, but Prince made it clear this is his vision of what happened and it's not gonna be totally accurate. And your are right it would be from locations Philly and LA. But this won't be next season I can tell you.

thats good to hear that it wont leave Philly because it doesnt seem really believeble, and it would be too weird being away from the rest of the family.

Well, there better be a second season, otherwise that'd be a bit of a waste of money if they only made it for one season, and it seems to be a hit with many people throughout America. And I agree with statements some others have mentioned. But they'll probably end up having bandstand kept through '64,just bending the real history a little.

AS far as I know the show is doing good and staying on for a 2nd season.Im not sure when season 2 of American Dreams will start. We have to finish getting threw season 1.From what I hear with ratings of the show. It's going strong and I don't think its going off.As for bending history a bit its ok.So they keep bandstand threw 1964.I know the 60's is a real decade. But it doesn't mean American Bandstand has to move to LA on the show if though it really did in 1964. :) :D

I consider myself very TV Smart, so I don't wanna come of as a know it all here, but it may sound that way.

The series has NOT, repeat NOT been renewed for a second season (it's way too early in the season for that) and any person that tells you it has, unless they work for the show, the studio that produces it or NBC Itself, is lieing. No series has been renewed for the upcoming season yet , new or returning. The series at this point has a commitment for 1 5more episodes (a total of 25, as reported). At the end of the season (likely mid to late may) a decision will be made on the series coming back for season 2. When people make comments like this, it makes them seem like it's there hoping it's true when theirs no basis in fact.

The Ratings have NOT been terrible (mostly mediocre) so far, but they could be better and NBC is gonna hang Tough with the series. Demographic wise it is a gold mine and that's what really counts in today's market is the young audience. So based on that alone the second season could be forth coming.

Just don't go frying your eggs before the chicken lays them and in the future leave the news reporting to the people who know what they're talking about.

Ok I'm done being an a--whole now. But I stand by what I said. :o

Touchy touchy, I am sorry for being so knowledgable about TV. I did re-read your coment again and it still sounds like your saying it's already been renewed, if you mean you want it to come back and hope it does, then say that. It's pretty simple.
