Hi, I'm kind of a lurker around the chat area and I've noticed that a lot of you talk about high school... I was just wondering if everyone is still in school that comes to the "Chit chat". Sometimes I wish I was still in school... I'm 21, I graduated from high school in 2000 and have been at this job for almost two years now and you know what? When summer comes around I get a little spacey and think, "Thank God, I have the summer off... getting tired of this job." It's weird. It's like my mind is still on school time or something. But then again with everything going on in schools these days... I'm glad I'm not in school. And extremely thankful for not having to take Algebra or Chemistry again.

I'm not in school. I graduated high school in May of 2002. By the way, glad you unlurked over here. :)

I graduated from Highschool in 2001 and I 'm in college I have 1 and a half years left of that. I go to a community school adn I can't wait to graduate because I don't really like school, school has always been kind of hard for me and that's why I don;t like that much.

I'm class of 97 from Grandville High School. Go Dawgs.

I'm a fifth year college senior. I'm almost done!!

I graduated high school Class of 2002, now I'm a freshman in college. I love it, college is great, which is a big thrill because high school sucked, it was not a good experience for me at all.

I'm just a lonely ole' Freshman in High School.

I left school in 2000. I'm 20 years old now and I've been working fulltime for an accounting company for the past 2 years.

I'm still in school. I'm a sophomore.

I'm nearly there... I can see the end in sight, but it's not pretty :(

I'll probably feel lost without school once I'm finished :p I've spent most of my time there since February 1990... I'll actually really miss it, but if all goes to plan I'll be OK since I'm hoping to become a French teacher!

Don't worry Chris, it goes a lot quicker than you think. I still remember my first day of college and it feels like it was yesterday. It was August of 98.

Nope, graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1987.

I graduated from high school in 1996. I never did go to college.

i graduate this year. YAY:)

sophmore...yep, two more years and then off to college. i can't wait till after college. yeah, i know we actually have to work and pay bills and stuff, but it will be fun not having my parents breathing down my neck and stuff.

My question to all the older posters is - if you didn't go to college, do you ever regret your decision?
I have never regretted my descision not to pursue further education. All my friends went on to further education after we left high school - I was the only one who went out and got a full-time job. I don't regret my decision at all because, while all my friends were at uni with no money, struggling to make ends meet I was in a stable job, earning tonnes of money and buying myself numerous games consoles, TV's and DVD players. :D
The only thing which a feel I may have missed by not going to college/uni is the social life. I never get a chance to meet new people within my job and I often feel that, if I had gone to uni I might have a girlfriend, or at least some new pals, by now.

Welp, if I was staying in the same school for high school, I'd NEVER wanna get out of school!

But...... obviously my school is only a middle school, and this is my last year here! My God, I'm gonna so die when I get into high school...

I went to Bryant and Stratton business school for a year and a half and hated it. Most of the teachers were jerks and I really didn't wanna take out another loan. So, I dropped out. I regret it, but not enough to go back.

I am a lowly freshman. I like it tho. All my friends get picked on by upperclasswomen (all girls skool) and im like bigger than all of the upperclasswomen so I just hang around and scare people.

No Lorna , I have never regretted not going to college. I hated school so much that It was the last thing on my mind! I got married instead and never regretted it! I have a wonderful husband and 2 great adult children. I pretty much educated myself through reading and crossword puzzles! My parents couldn't have afforded a college education anyway! Ok, that's my story!:lol:

I don't really regret not going to college. Going to college just didn't seem like much of a possibility for me. I'm not exactly college material. I took the easiest classes that I could in high school and I still only managed about a C+ average. I didn't really have a good idea of what I wanted to do anyway. I tried getting into broadcasting school but that didn't work out. I decided that I didn't really want to do that anyway so then I decided that I was just gonna work. I've been on my own since I was 19 and I'm not really making as much money as I would like to be but it is more than enough money to get by. Someday I might wish that I had gone to college but I don't regret it now because I know a lot of people who spent a lot of money for a college education but now they either can't find a job or they are at jobs that didn't require a college degree.

I've been in college for 4 years and have gained no boyfriends. Maybe it's me...or the school. I'll blame it on the school.

Or they got a job outside their major. I know a guy that graduated with a degree in Biology and he makes websites.

That'll be me...I'm an English major with no desire to teach. What's THAT going to get me?
