So I've been listening to the old radio show Archie Andrew's which was based on the Archie comics. I found out the last person to voice Archie was Bob Hastings who later was on the TV shows McHale’s Navy and All in the Family among other shows. Additionally I didn't realize he was on 186 episodes of General Hospital.

Bill Idelson, who played Herman Glimscher on the Dick van Dyke Show, was a child radio star on the comedy show "Vic and Sade." He left the show to serve in the Navy during the war. He was a fighter pilot who earned the Distinguished Flying Cross.

I'm sure there are a bunch of actors we know for TV actually had starring role in radio. The fun part is discovering them.

Last year I was listening to a block of old time radio Christmas programs on YouTube and discovered Betty White was a kid actress in a radio play drama.

TMC thanks for this. Voicing the Raven in The Munsters was probably the one thing I would never have guessed him doing.

I've been listening to The Aldrich Family and found out that TV directors Ezra Stone and Norman Tokar voiced Henry Aldrich.
