TVFactFan, did you also know that CBS moved M*A*S*H to Fridays at 8:30 after Big Eddie? Not sure how good of an idea this looked like, since M*A*S*H's ratings and shares would've slipped below the 20 threshold. This ended when CBS moved M*A*S*H back to Tuesdays in December, and in an anchor slot, which it would have for the remainder of its run.

The Dick van Dyke Show writing team of Bill Persky and Sam Denoff created two shows - Big Eddie and The Montefuscos - that premiered in the fall of 1975. Persky focused on Big Eddie, Denoff on The Montefuscos. Neither made it to Thanksgiving.

You right I just saw it was still a #2 show behind AITF in October of 1975. Followed by

Phyllis
Maude
Six Million Dollar Man
Rhoda
Marcus Welby
On the Rocks
Barney Miller
Chico and The Man

So it was the last season the show took a dip in the ratings
