network pack all the good shows on one day and at teh same time. i mean thursday u wanan watch friends and scrubs, u dont wanna miss survivor...why cant CBS just move survivor to friday, i'm sure alot more people will watch it. sorry, just my thoughts

I think its obvious that they do that, so that other networks can compete against other networks. They do this to pull in better ratings against their shows. Say if one network has a day where all of their shows, that are in one line-up, that contains their best shows, they would probably have a better try at getting ratings, so then it would be obvious for the other network who is trying to compete, they would also put a line-up of their best shows, So they can compete amongst themselves to drag in the ratings.
I hope this explains why they put two *good* shows at one time.

but look wouldnt it make more sense to spread them out, like zone defense in football...if they show their top show on a day where other networks dont show their top shows, alot more people would be watching that show because there is nothing else on. they will still have their share of the market, and it will do the viewers a favor too

I understand exactly what you're saying. I think the networks believe that the rest of their lineup is just as good as everything else.
