Paramount Releasing I Love Lucy: The Complete Series 11/5/24
with new features....

* Newly colorized and never before released "Lucy and the Loving Cup";
* "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" restored and presented as "The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show," originally broadcast (1957-1960), including original cast commercials; Original openings and closings;
* A portion of 1959's CBS fall preview special, "Eye on CBS," featuring Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance, presented for the first time on home video; And more!

NOTES - Still no word if all the colorized episodes to date will be included here in 1080p.

& I have personally confirmed that long lost footage that was cut from the Tallulah Bankhead "The Celebrity Next Door" Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour episode has been discovered and reinserted - this was the dinner scene with Tallulah explaining how she's allergic to strawberries, which was removed on the dvds, leaving the audience in the dark during the PTA school production at the episodes end.

Interesting about the hour-long episodes--I seem to recall that the only one they were able to find as originally aired, was the Ann Sothern episode. So several years ago we were told all the other original airings were only available in edited-form. Amazing how they are able to find supposedly lost material if they look hard enough..

I wonder if it will include the episode “Paris At Last” in color? CBS showed it in Dec. 2019 (it’s not on the I Love Lucy Colorized Collection DVDs) and I recorded it.

Will there be any more colorized episodes on this set?

Amazon doesn't have it listed with a release date yet or even a price & it's only in blu-ray (at least so far). I already bought the complete series years ago in that big plastic casing with the giant heart in the middle of it. And I don't have a blu ray player. AND further, the ONLY thing I want from this new release is the colorized version of the Loving Cup. Unless I want to buy a blu ray player and then spend a fortune on this latest "Complete Series" release (there's already been several different "Complete" b/w releases) that's in blu-ray yet, looks like I'll be saying no thank you to this latest rip off of the consumer. I like Lucy but I ain't crazy.

Now, what they really really need to do, instead of yet another b/w "complete series" release is finally finally release the COLORIZED Complete Series. Now that I'd happily shed out for even if it means buying a blu ray player which I don't need.:wave:

They are milking Lucy for all she's worth, kinda like RCA milked Elvis that way years ago.

And, really, what else is Paramount doing with Blu Ray? (It appears DVD is "dead.") I'd gladly shell out if they'd ever do anything with My Three Sons color years.

I'd like a separate set of the hour long Lucy episodes, but it looks like that'll never happen. And, sure, I'd like to see that Loving Cup episode in color. Group it with some other episode that'd be great in color, like the Connecticut tulips episode, and maybe a few others.

I dislike the Blu Ray players, art least the one I was forced to buy. Very user unfriendly. It's one of the few without streaming--now who would need streaming with a Blu Ray player? If it was a recorder, I'd understand--but a player's purpose is to, well, play a disc, right?

I have a Samsung Blu-ray player and a PS4 that plays Blu-ray’s. Both are user friendly but the Samsung one is better. Both have Internet cabilities.

I'm hoping the "First Stop" episode has the restored footage that was deleted from the DVD release of the foursome in the car making comments about the Burma Shave signs. There was also some missing dialogue outside of the motel/diner.
If that footage has not been restored, I'll be mighty disappointed.
"Ethel's Birthday" also had some missing bits of dialogue.

Maybe the colorized "The Loving Cup" will air on CBS along with the Christmas episode. They haven't aired it in a couple of years so it's time to bring it back.

I can't believe that many people will buy it but OK.
