Did NAN buy any of the shows from the first season when the show was on CBS? To me that season with the Pembrokes was great and then it was almost unwatchable...except for Nicole Eggert. If they didn't it would not surprise me. NAN has a long history of butchering shows, one way is to only but some of the run. They did this with WKRP when they aired it. I was just wondering because since CIC started (which when it did I don't even think they advertised it) I have not seen anything but Powells. The show was better when it was on WGN and other stations. At least they aired the whole series from start to fininsh.

According to Pavanbadal, they have all the episodes. If this is true, they for some reason haven't aired anything but some episodes from season 2, 3, and 4. The marathon coming up next month is no better. According to the episode list for it, there will be no first season episodes and I don't believe any 5th season ones either.

A lot of times, when a show has a major change after the first batch of episodes, the station or network showing the reruns prefers to start the cycle with the more familiar episodes, and slip the episodes from the original format in later. This has also happened with "Cagney and Lacey", where the first season featured Meg Foster as Cagney. When that show went into syndication, most stations began their cycle with the second season (featuring the more familiar Sharon Gless as Cagney) and aired the Meg Foster episodes after the Gless shows were finished.
