It gets complicated on how it would have effected other parts of their careers, but just for enjoyment I could have watched it for eight or ten seasons. If I could have more episodes of any TV show, it would be this one. Of course they would have gone to color in the 1966 season. I have mixed feelings, but I did want to see more of them.

I think they did it just right, and should have been an example to sitcoms that followed.

Five seasons is a good run, it could have continued on in color but I believe they ended it at the right time. Dick Van Dyke returned for a new sitcom in the early 1970's, that one ran for three seasons but it's mostly unseen these days.
