It was a gimmick used for the 1974 movie Earthquake (theater allegedly shook and such). Was it just used for that one or did any other movies attempt to incorporate it?

IDK ? But it seems like in some horror movies I've seen when all HE double hockey sticks breaks loose you can hear and feel vibrations and noises in the walls kind of? Unless it's just my vivid imagination ?

I think Torgo would be the one to answer this.

I wonder if that's what inspired the 'Feel Around' bit from The Kentucky Fried Movie.

Some theaters if they have the bass turned up it can make it feel like things are vibrating. At home to if you crank the bass up on your sound system.

In 1976 Midway (Charlton Heston again, maybe he owned stock in this thing) used it, this time billed as the academy award winning Sensurround
