This may be the job for Sawgrass Steve! ;)
While watching the cast of TMTMS on Larry King las week, Gavin McLeod said that he had been on TDVDS twice. What other episode was he in besides being the gum snapping jewlrey salesman in the Empress Carlotta episode? Thanks. :)

I was actually wondering the same thing, you psychic, you. I looked it up at IMDB.com and it only has the one episode listed. Maybe Gavin made a mistake

I've seen all the episodes several times each, and I can't remember him being on any other episodes. It could be that he had a small part on another one, and it has been edited out.
I read a trivia question once that asked which was the first episode that Alan Brady was actually seen full faced, and not camouflaged. It gave the answer as "I Was a Teenaged Head Writer" but on the TVLand edited episode, we never see him. Therefore, I figured that it must have been edited out.
So if Gavin was on twice, maybe his other part has been edited out. Otherwise, I'd guess that he made a mistake in the interview. I'm pretty sure I've never seen him in any of the others.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Roz!
I saw the interview and wondered the same thing. I can't come up with any other appearances by MacLeod on that show.
I do think there is yet another possible explanation besides him being either mistaken or edited out, although those could be accurate as well.
The voices from TV and radio shows on TDVDS originally went uncredited. Of course, we all know Carl's voice when we hear it, but is it possible that with his interesting vocal tone and precise enunciation that MacLeod could have been an off-camera voice?

That's a good theory. I hadn't thought of that! I know he could easily be mistaken, but I tend to think that working with Mary is something you're likely to remember, so if he says he was on twice, he probablywas! LOL
