View Full Version : Will the Chiefs be the first team to win their third consecutive Super Bowl?- NO! opus 08-30-2024, 01:19 PM 8 teams have tried and failed (technically 7. Don't want them turning into the obnoxious New England Patriots / Tom Brady era! I see you're still hating on T and T. I know many are surprised a new season is here and they're still together. Chiefs kickoff tonight against Ravens. TJ 09-05-2024, 06:13 PM The Chiefs have to be the clear favorites. They don't have any real weaknesses. The only thing that would hurt them is a major injury to Patrick Mahomes. What are the expectations for the Jets? I'm seeing some predictions of 12-5. I can't see them improving by that much. What's the over/under for the number of Aaron Rodgers plays? Can he stay healthy all season? Hopefully Detroit makes their first Super Bowl appearance and Cincinnati wins their first Super Bowl. I'm tired of seeing dynasties winning every season. icecream 09-05-2024, 06:22 PM I don't watch football anymore but am sick of hearing about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. I hope the Chiefs underperform and are upset in the first round of the playoffs, or better yet fail to make the playoffs altogether. opus 09-06-2024, 12:14 AM What are the expectations for the Jets? I'm seeing some predictions of 12-5. I can't see them improving by that much. What's the over/under for the number of Aaron Rodgers plays? Can he stay healthy all season? Expectations range between the Super Bowl and worse than Mr. Cleveland’s 0-17 prediction for his beloved Cleveland Clowns (Jets go 0-17 PLUS somehow manage to also lose on their bye week) Chiefs win the opener by a toe. Now we’ll never know if Baltimore really would have gone for two. Bonniegirl 09-06-2024, 03:37 AM I don't watch football anymore but am sick of hearing about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Agree!! ;) Bonniegirl 09-06-2024, 03:41 AM And we are off to a rip roaring start !! UGG!! :( I thought the Ravens could pull it off and win at the end tonight , but no! And hard to get into football with the weather being over 100 degrees! Yes! It has been that hot here !! James28 09-18-2024, 01:06 AM I was excited for the Chiefs' first Super Bowl win in 2020, but I was already starting to show signs of tiring of the Chiefs the moment they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles for their third-overall SB win in 2023, and I guess 2024 was pretty much my breaking point. I'm just not a big fan of dynasties (such a status is grounds for easy fatigue and just makes a team look evil), and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are just plain overrated. opus 01-18-2025, 08:38 PM Refs get them one step closer today. Bonniegirl 01-19-2025, 02:39 AM CRAP!!! Looks like it will be The Chiefs vs. ? in Superbowl yet again ! :( James28 01-20-2025, 04:26 PM If the Kansas City Chiefs really do advance to the Super Bowl at all this year, I will not be watching the Super Bowl at all. My current plan is to watch a to-be-determined film from Columbia Pictures after the Big Game, simply because the SB lead-out slot isn't worth it anymore after Rescue: HI Surf was swapped out for The Floor, thereby wasting a good opportunity to push a new scripted hit show for FOX-TV. Depending on whether the Chiefs are confirmed for the Big Game or not, it could evolve into a movie marathon. The films I'll watch will have to be on The Roku Channel, because Tubi (on which I watched Billy Madison, my alternate Super Bowl lead-out program after last year's SB) will actually livestream this year's Super Bowl in a simulcast with FOX-TV. It won't be just "No Super Bowl Lead-Out" for this guy... It's "No Super Bowl PERIOD"! If the Taylor Swift Chiefs win I'm gonna jump off a bridge ! :(:p:mad: James28 02-05-2025, 04:09 PM Fellow Sitcoms Online Members: I have now set my Super Bowl Avoidance Movie Marathon consisting of these four films: Saving Silverman (a romantic comedy film from 2001; My would-be Super Bowl lead out alternate program) Starhops (a 1977 exploitation comedy film) Rock and Roll High School (a 1979 musical comedy film) Deadly Care (a 1987 made-for-TV film on CBS) Caroline13 02-06-2025, 05:30 PM Ah James, you and your buddies not springing for $1000's for a seat there?????e opus 02-09-2025, 01:31 PM Game day. dakert 02-09-2025, 05:16 PM Go Chiefs TJ 02-09-2025, 05:25 PM It's too bad the Bengals didn't make the playoffs. I think they could have beat the Chiefs the way they had played down the stretch. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are two of the best of all time. They always seem to get the favorable calls and find ways to win. They haven't looked as dominant as past seasons. I think Saquon Barkley has a big game and runs wild on his 28th birthday. The Eagles defense will be able to shut them down. Fly, Eagles Fly Eagles 28, Chiefs 17 Duster76 02-09-2025, 07:35 PM I'm not an Eagles fan but I'll be pulling for them. With that said Hurts makes me nervous, if the game is close he'll find a way to lose it. MrCleveland 02-09-2025, 10:56 PM No three peat for the Kansas City Thiefs! I myself watched Groundhog Day instead of The Stupid Bowl! Next SB I'll watch is when the Cleveland Browns are in it...meaning never! opus 02-09-2025, 11:44 PM Updated the thread title, answered the question. opus 02-09-2025, 11:47 PM It's too bad the Bengals didn't make the playoffs.
