That does sound freaky. I haven't had any really exciting ghost-like experiences, like I've never seen anything. I've felt presences in various rooms of the old house I lived in, though. My school is probably haunted, though. I've never experienced anything first-hand there, but other students in the past have said that some images of faces show up in photos when they know when they took the picture no-one was around. There is this one incident the teacher told us about when he once showed the class how to develop pictures and when the photo developed, there was a hand there, even though no-one had put their hand over the photo when the film was being projected onto the photo paper. There's another photo that had a face in it that wasn't around when people took the picture. There's supposed to be some people in the lab, as well. A man who stands in a corner where pictures dry and watches the people in the room. If he wants attention the teacher says he pulls on the string that the photos are hanging on. There's also this story of a girl who cries mommy. If we develop a photo with the words mommy on it we are supposed to get out of the room right away. I don't believe people have to be scared of ghosts, though. I figure if the ghosts have been in a room for many years already and haven't hurt one person, then they aren't hostile at all.

Eek i got shivers reading that, especially about the girl who cries mommy. But i agree w/ u. I try not to be scared of ghosts cuz they're harmless and they haunt places just to visit them. When i feel my mom's presence, i do get a lil scared cuz there's a ghost in the room, but i try to rememer that it's my mom and that's good cuz we're together again. Sometimes it takes me some courage to talk to her when it's dark and quiet.

They can get real freaky tho. I heard that 1ce this guy suspected a ghost in his room so he put down a pen and paper and asked the spirit to write down his name. Then he left for a minute. When he came back the ghost had written his name.

And 1ce there was this 4 year old girl whose dad died 1 nite. Her mom planned to tell her the next morning but when the girl was layin in her bed she saw her dad walk to her and touch her. That moment haunted her for years.

That is possible, ~°~RockAngel89~°~. But, she's not trying to haunt you, instead she could be trying to ease your grief. If you don't feel scared it is because it could really be her soul, since her departure is still recent. They say that after people pass away, their soul stays for a short time here on earth to ease their survivors' grief and to really say good-bye.

My Grandma told me that when my Grandpa died she thought she heard someone open the fridge around 2 because my grandpa would get drinks of milk in the night my Grandma said.

Ohh..those stories are fascinating. Im not really *afraid* of ghosts because they ARE harmless, but since I do believe in all that stuff it can kinda freak me out. I used to love watching that show on FoxFamily hosted by Linda Blair---anyone watch it? Anyways...my brother was saying once he was at his friends house and they were ALL downstairs in the cellar...and they could hear footsteps walking back and forth....freaky, but who knows.

Some of the buildings at our university were part of the an old fort where it is said that many American soldiers lost their lives. Legend has it that these buildings are settings in which ghostly apparitions sometimes occur. There are some people that have seen a kid that is always playing pranks on people, and a lady searching for her lost husband where the fort hospital used to stand, among other eerie sightings. These apparitions are not only confined to these old buildings. They have been sighted at more modern places such as at the courtyard between North and South Hall, the Library, and the Music Building. There is even a group of local “paranormal enthusiasts” that gather (or used to gather, I’m not sure if they still do) every other Friday night ready to document any of these ethereal visions

A friend of mine who used to work at the Music Building had one of these sightings. He used to work till 9PM and would lock the building at that time. One Thursday night, as he was locking all the rooms and making sure all the students had gone home, he experienced one of these paranormal events. On Thursdays, everybody was gone by that time. He had already locked the front and back doors. While he was approaching one of the back rooms, he noticed the door slightly opened and the lights off. As he was about to close and lock the door, he noticed the silhouette of a female figure sitting in one of the corners. He asked her what she was doing there and she replied, “I’m waiting for someone.” To which he replied, “Oh, o.k.” He turned around and thought nothing of it. About a minute later, he started wondering, “What would someone be doing there sitting in a dark room?” Hesitantly, he went back to tell the girl that everybody had gone for the day and that he had to leave too because his shift was over. To his surprise, he found the room empty and quickly locked the room and got out of there as fast as he could. From that day on, every Thursday night he would lock up early or as soon as the last student had gone home.

That's really freaky. I've never actually thought a ghost could actually be heard talking. I think I would also run out as fast as I could. I know ghosts would mean no harm, especially that ghost didn't seem evil at all, but the shock of something like that would be too much for me. It's one thing to feel a presence, but quite another to see apparitions.

Woah  Creepy. My mom thinks there's a "demon" in our house cos everything disappears and then we look where we've looked SO many times and it's sitting right there. Also, Jackie [my so-called friend] saw this woman who was all white walking down her hallway and when she was home alone, she saw a man at her window [when she looked outside, no one was there].
