I never have figured out what made Mariah Carey decide to do this movie? Because I think why Mariah Carey decided to do Glitter was because she had wanted to become an actress and she thought that Glitter would make her add actress to her resume. The only reason why Glitter was made in my eyes was that it was a companion movie to the 2001 album of the same name and the album did better than the movie. I rented Glitter to see Mariah Carey act and it was a good movie but I think Mariah could've made a better movie

When you stick Mariah Carey into movies you never know what the outcome will be and I think that with Glitter Mariah Carey wanted to show the world that she could sing and act. But why I think Glitter failed was because it received little promotion due to Mariah Carey's troubles and the release of the movie soundtrack to 9/11 2001. But why I think people thought Glitter would be Mariah Carey's first big film role and people expected her to be like Madonna when Madonna branched out into making movies. But Glitter itself is a great movie but with more promotion it could've been a hit movie
