According to Wikipedia:

“Throughout 2024, many This TV affiliates dropped the network, with coverage sharply declining from 73.6% of the U.S. population in January to 3.42% by July.[12][13] This included affiliates from ABC Owned Television Stations, who gave the network coverage in major cities, and network owner Allen Media Group. On May 31, This TV's website was blanked and on July 13, it was completely shut down, implying the network ceased operations. Thus far, no reliable outlets have come forward to officially announce the closure of This TV and its status remains uncertain.”

This is my story about ThisTV. My area (Bonita Springs, Florida) had ThisTV from 2013-2015 when the station closed. The affiliate was cable only station WNFM. I thought the station only carried the network on Sunday afternoons only because I can never remember seeing ThisTV programming on other times. WNFM carried My Netowkr TV at the same time. But according to Wikipedia, WNFM eventually almost became a full time ThisTV affiliate except when My Network TV was on. That may be true since I have a very hard time believing that the owners of ThisTV would be satisfied with just several hours a week. Also, I can remember seeing a B&W film on a Saturday night that looks like it was in the public domain. I don’t know the name of the movie as the guide didn’t say anything. There also was no logo bug so I am believing that I was watching This TV because I have a hard time believing that a small time station WNFM would air the movie independently (although I read that my future CW affiliate WXCW in the early 90s, due to money troubles would go to the movie rental store to rent public d9main movies to play on the station.)

I remember This TV.
This was available on WPHL 17.3 from the beginning to 2019, when most of the Tribune station dropped the channel for Court TV.
My market did move it to WDPN 2.2 for a couple of years before it moved to WPVI 6.3 in 2021 as a replacement for Laff, when it was announced the ABC O&O stations would pick up This.
That all changed in April 1st of this year (no joke) when the ABC O&Os replaced This TV with Charge!.

And that was it for This TV in my area.
But mainly, the channel later became another Byron Allen network as he did buy This TV and Light TV (now known as TheGrio).
They were still airing movies by the time Allen acquired it, but by this year, movies were completely stripped and more of the shows he created and executive produced were added on.
Pretty much the only affiliates that still carry it are mainly low powered ones, not in the major markets though.

In Memphis where I’m at, This TV was originally on WMC 5 on 5.3 beginning in October 2009. It was there through the end of 2014 then was dropped and replaced by Grit at the beginning of 2015. Oddly enough, WMC 5 brought This TV back on 5.6 in January 2022, only to be dropped again at the end of June 2024 and replaced with Defy TV on July 1, 2024.

When This TV started airing in St Louis, it was a one of KPLR’s digital channels before it moved to be under one of KSDK’s sub channels.

This TV is now only in 10 million households, covering a mere 3.29% of the US population. So essentially, they're waiting for all of the remaining markets to drop the channel before officially shutting down.

This TV was a good channel up until Byron Allen bought it. Once Byron bought it, it just became a dumping ground for low budget garbage you could find on Tubi with the occasional showing of a real movie like the first Evil Dead or the Robocop trilogy.

Nowadays, they don't even show any movies, so now, it's basically the Byron Allen network.

In my area, MeTV Toons replaced THIS-TV. I receive Defy on another channel.

As others have stated, THIS declined in quality, a sad ending. :(
