In sitcomland, sometimes characters start off one way and by the third or fourth season they are totally different. Who are some of the ones that changed the most and did it make the show better or worse? I have some ideas....as always

Chrissy Snow (Three's Company) At the start she was a little naive but had some sense. By the end she was a snorting ******. Made the show worse

Homer Simpson- At the start he had a different voice and was not as dumb. Now the show is MUCH better

Fraiser Crane-- At the start he was pompus and arrogrant but then mellowed and became more one of the gang at Cheers. Made the show better

JJ(Good Times)-Very silly in the beginning, grew up in the end. Didn't really make the show better.

Roz Doyle(Frasier)-A bimbo in the beginning, has definitely slowed down and matured a bit. Still a good show.

I forgot about JJ. Yes, he changed and it made the show much worse. It was about the family in the first few years and then it became the JJ show. That is why Esther Rolle and John Amos left the show.

Monica (Friends) Went from pretty and normal to a screeching skeleton. Hasn't made the show better.
Joey (Friends) Went from obnoxious smart-mouth to dumb loveable lug. Better for the show.
Rebecca (Cheers) Went from sharp-tongued businesswoman to whiny ditz. I still liked Cheers so I guess it didn't hurt.
I agree completely about Homer.

Fonzie. When he started the series, Fonzie was a quiet thug. Then he became almost god like, in two ways. One way was that Fonzie could turn on the juke box by tapping it. In the second way, Fonzie developed morals. I still like "Happy Days" and Fonzie, it's just something I noticed.
