There are a couple things in here that I want to make sure we all see:


Last week I filmed an infomercial while I was in Portland, Oregon. Do you remember watching the Christmas Special, “The Little Drummer Boy”? Well, they have repackaged the video/DVD, along with an adorable Christmas ornament, Golden Books Children’s Keepsake Bible, and a Kenny G CD. So look for my face this holiday season on television.

So, we all need to watch for this program. I'm assuming this is one of the Rankin-Bass shows (like Rudolph and Frosty). If anyone sees it, please post!!

The next morning we got up to go to the church where I was speaking at Trinity Assembly of God. But the rental car was broken and we couldn’t get the steering wheel to move. Thankfully, we caught a ride to the church and walked in just in time to be treated to a wonderful surprise. Two young girls, Kassie and Christine, met me at the front door. They had met on the “Sitcoms Online” “Facts of Life” message board and rendezvoused here in W.V. to meet each other and meet me. They showered me with hugs and gifts and I think I autographed just about everything they owned. It was the high point of the weekend for me.


So, who are these two, where is your story, has she been to this site, etc etc.

Maybe they are in school right now? It's still early afternoon...

Plus, maybe they were waiting to see if Lisa posted anything about them first. I mean, what if you came on here and bragged about meeting her, and then Lisa said NOTHING about them. That would kind of suck... and be embarassing.

So, let's wait and see....

Man if that was me who met lisa i would have been posting it in a heartbeat..i wouldnt care if she put me in her journal...lolz...n where are those 2??..i wanna hear their story!!!

I don't know where they are but Christine dyed her hair brown.... interesting.

I thought the "Termites Beware.....Its Blair!":lol: on the back of the truck was really cute. He thought Lisa was crazy when she wanted a picture with it, but then he recongnized her and said: "You are the reason I was teased all through junior high school!" I can't believe the guys name was Blair.


Oh and something else, I thought I was the only person on this planet that wore overalls, I see that Lisa is wearing them in this picture

Well, do I assume that you read these boards also, then? If so, could you copy and paste their stories to here, or give us a link to the site?

If you don't know, it's cool. I'm just trying to figure it out...

OMG!!!!!!!!!! Meeting Lisa was amazing. I met Kassie the night before. We had fun, we went out to dinner, watched lots of movies, looked at Lisa magazines, and day/night dreamed about seeing Lisa. Kassie made a shirt for me. It has a picture of LIsa and I on it from the last time we met. She made one for herself too and she put there whole family on it. We got to the church and Kassie was already crying just looking at the books and things. It was sooo fun and cute. We asked a lady some questions and found out that Lisa wasn't bringing any of her kids this time and that she would be coming through a side door and that no one was supposed to know where it was. Well we were all shocked when she and steve came right in through the front door. There was a crowd of people and she like totally walked right through the crowd and directly to us. She hugged Kassie, then me(she remembered me :) ) then her sister Korrie. Lisa, Kassie, and I talked for a few minutes. Oh did I mention
that when Kassie saw Lisa she burst into tears and fell on the floor? It was sooo cute. Lisa went to meet with the pastor while we got seats. Lisa sat off to the side from us but infront of us. We were all supposed to stand up and shake out neighbors hands. Kassie and I got to shake Lisa's hand. The pastor
asked who was attending the church for the first time and Kassie, her sis, and I raised our hands. We were raising them the highest and he commented on that which made Lisa turn around and smile at us. Finally she was introduced and went on the stage. Kassie and I gave her a standing ovasion(sp?) She
turned around and smiled and said thank you. Then she said for us to sit down. She spoke for a little whille Then She began to introduce Kassie and I. WE WERE SOOOO SHOCKED!!!!!!!!! She announced that I had driven 12 hours to see her and that Kassie and I had met online on a facts of life thing. So everyone clapped for us too. Then around the end she had whoever wanted to
accept Jesus into there life, raise there hands. Kassie and I did that. Then she asked that everyone who raised there hands go stand infront of the auditorium place and form a circle thing and pray. Kassie and I weren't real sure on what to do so we both just walked to the front and stood there. Lisa came off the stage, put her arms around both of us and prayed with us. It was
so beautiful. After the service was done we went out to get the gifts and things we got for her and her family. We were the last ones in line and when we got up there a bunch of other people got behind us and we had a lot of stuff for her to sign and look at so we just stood there next to her while she took care of the others. Kassie and I were soo happy. We loved standing
right next to Lisa. We could hear lots of conversations going on around us between Lisa and the fans. It was cool. Then something absolutely wonderful happened. Lisa asked me to do her a favor and throw her cup of coffee away. I was completely honored. See I may be wrong but I figure that she wouldn't
just ask any fan to throw her garbage away for her. This was the third time we had seen her so I think and hope that each time I am taking the relationship a tiny bit further. But I just loved being asked by name by Lisa, to do her a favor. Finally the line ended and Lisa signed all of our things. We also wanted pictures so Lisa got up, stood by her banner and had a Blair moment adjusting her hair. We were all set to take a picture and then LIsa said something like "you aren't going to get my feet are you?" or "don't get my feet." to my mother. so my mom said back to her I am now so we got a picture of her feet which were shoe-less. It was the cutest thing, Lisa running around after the crowds left, with no shoes on. It made Kassie and I feel that she was comfortable enough around us to actually get comfortable.
She took a few instant pics of all of us so she can put it on her website next week. Kassie and I also did a skit for her from the fol reunion movie.
It was the part where Blair says well hello Maggie I'm Blair Warner Warner etc.... OMG You all should have seen Lisa's face. She was cracking up so bad.
It was great. We said goodbye to her and left where we proceeded to have out pictures taken infront of a sign that said Lisa Welchel. lol.

I was feeling soooooo great about the whole day and then I came home, read her journal for the week, and wanted to die. I felt soooooooo bad for her. Kassie and I had so many pictures taken with her and she had so much to sign and all this poor woman wanted to do was go home. I almost cried reading that
letter. It's terrible. I feel so bad for her and the kids and just for there whole life. I would really love to see Lisa several times more but to me, her happiness is a million times more important to me then mine so I would love for Lisa to stop all this if it would make her happy. She loves her kids and loves being a stay at home homeschooling mom with the everyday worries. Now
to add on the out of ordinary worries mixed with the normal ones also mixed with the traveling worries and you have got one very stressed out LIsa. I have a feeling she will rejuvinate fast and land on her feet. If not the Lord will pick her up because her father wouldn't leave her on the ground if she were to fall and couldn't get back up. She may need the Lord to help her get
through this season. I hate that my most favorite person in the whole world isn't feeling the one way I want her to feel all the time. Happy.

Oh geez...where do I start?? LISA WHELCHEL IS THE
MOST KOOLEST WOMAN IN THE WHOLE WORLD!! I just love her!!! She is just so nice and so friendly and sooo pretty!!! It all started on saturday night when Christine and I met each other at our hotel. We were spending the night so we could just get up early and leave and have enough time for everything so we
could meet Lisa. Saturday night was a blast!!! Christine and I went out to dinner went to Wally World..lol...I almost picked up the phone they have by the registers so the whole store could hear what you're saying..and I was about to pick it up and say LISA ARE YOU HERE?? LOL!!!! I didn't though...my mom was like DON'T YOU DARE!!! It was soo funny!! And then after Wally World
we went back to the restaurant because we had reservations and we ate. We were looking around for a blonde head somewhere but couldn't find one. Of course..we were looking for Lisa!! lol!! After dinner we went back to the hotel and watched Lisa movies and I looked at Christine's Shine magazine and almost died!! Lisa is just soo gorgeous!! lol!! After watching movies and me getting my Lisa scrapbook together we went to bed..I didn't end up going to bed until 1:30 because I couldn't stop thinking about seeing Lisa the next
day. I woke up at 6:40 got a shower and got all ready to meet Lisa. I was starting to get really nervous and excited!! We packed up our stuff and left the hotel to go to the church. I don't think Christine knows this but I was screaming out the window I LOVE YOU LISA!!! Btw...i was wearing a shirt that had a picture of Lisa and her family and under it it said I Love You Lisa. It
was another one of my brilliant ideas to get them made!! lol!! AHH i love her!! I got one made for Christine too and it was a suprise and I hope she loved it!!! We finally got to the church and I was taking pictures of signs everywhere on the road and signs of the church. When we got there we took some pictures outside and then went in..I saw the books and the big picture thing of Lisa that she puts up and all the things that she sales and I just burst into tears!! It was crazy and she wasn't even there yet!!! So after I wiped my tears away we went and got seats. We set our jackets down and then
went back to the front doors of the church. Christine and I were talking to this lady that worked there and we asked what kids Lisa brought with her and she said none and that they were staying at their grandparents house. So we were like thats too bad but okay atleast we still get to see Lisa..and it was christine's 3rd time seeing her so she saw her kids before and me I didn't..well in person anyways. My mom asked the lady where Lisa was going to be coming in at and the lady said that she was going to be coming through a side door somewhere and she couldn't tell us. A few minutes later we were still standing by the front doors and there I see Steve and I see Lisa's
blonde head and I just start bawling..my legs just totally let out and I fell on the ground!! Then I stood up and who do I see coming at me?? THEE LISA WHELCHEL!!! She remembered Christine and she said hi like all the way across the room. She pushed through a crowd of people and came over to us!! I was
just flipping out and crying and I could hardly breathe!! I guess Lisa saw right away that I was crying and she gave me the biggest hug and that just made me cry more!! She was like laughing while she walked over to me while saying Oh My Goodness!! It was soo cute!! My mom got every bit of it on tape!! lol!! Then she hugged Christine and we talked to Lisa for the longest time. She thought it was soo kool that we met online and we got to meet. Then she saw my necklace..it said FOL then there was a bead and it said TD and she just came right over to me and was like so Facts of Life and what is TD...I was like The Division and she was like ohh so your a big Nancy fan too?? I was like yeah..and she was like well thats very nice..or something like that!! She looked at our shirts and it was soo awesome!! We got soo much attention It was soo kool!!! She said that our shirts were cute. She was talking to us for a while..and I don't know if any of you were in the one chat when Lisa said hi to me she was just like Hi Kassie in the chat and I asked her if she remembered saying that to me. She said she did but I was wondering if she was just being nice cuz she was like i do...yes i do...i do remember that!!! It was just soo sweet! I hope she really remembered me!!
That would be soo awesome!! Anyways we took some pictures then she went to talk with the Pastor for a while. So we went in and sat down and waited for the mass to start. In a little while it finally did and it was soo different to what I'm used to in church. I'm Catholic and i'm used to singing out of a book and things like that. Well...we were in a Baptist church and it was just soo different!! They had a band and they were really good!! When Lisa came in her and Steve took a sit in the row in front of us but down a little bit and we could still see her good. She kept on looking back at us and smiling and it was just so cute!! Finally it was her turn to speak..she talked about her life and how she met the Lord. She came to the part about "The Family Dream" and said how it was so nice to meet soo many people on the trip. She then said I would like to introduce 2 girls she said Christine can you please stand so she did and Lisa said this was a girl I met in Glen Falls, NY and immediately the whole place started clapping then she said and Kassie will you please stand and so I did and she just told the whole place that we made a friendship and met on the FOL website and she said okay thankyou and we sat down. Then after that was over we went to where she was signing things. We were the last people in line and we had soo much time with her!! I did feel really bad after reading the journal entry for that week how she was soo stressed out and wanting to go home and see her kids and she had to be stuck there speaking and signing things and taking pictures!! If I would of known that I would of just said Lisa..GO HOME!!! I gave her my gifts and she seemed so happy about the bags I put the gifts in!! They were HUGE because I made thats right MADE pillows for them and put them in the big bags. I made them each a pillow with their name on it for the whole family and put a patterned something on the back. Then we saw the coffee she had and we were like is that Starbucks?? She was like no...i couldn't find one around here. lol!! It was soo cute!! Then we were like having her sign all this stuff for us and I felt soo bad i was like I don't want to wear your hand off!! She was like NOO!!! lol!! Like it didn't matter to her how much she had to sign. Then when I gave her my Creative Correction book to sign she was like aren't you a little premature for this?? LOL!! It was soo funny!! Then in it she wrote Kassie, Remember me when you finally need this! Blessings, Lisa Whelchel. It was soo cute!! Then in the other book she wrote Kassie, It was a pleasure meeting you! Lisa Whelchel!! AHH!! I love her!! When she opened Christine's presents she got a book that was called Footprints I guess..and she was like Kassie..i really hope that you get to meet Nancy one day..like out of no where and I was like..yeah..its hard to get in touch with her..and she was like its hard to get in touch with her when you know her!! lol!! It was soo funny!! Then she told me that Nancy really likes the poem that was on the front of the cover. And I asked her what her favorite type of gum is..It was soo cute how she was really thinking about it!! lol!! She was like well..its what I'm in the mood for. Then she was like I guess Juicyfruit. And I turned to Christine and was like...well thats my new favorite gum!! lol!! Lisa laughed. We then went over and took pictures and she was walking around without shoes on and she was like don't get my feet!! lol!! She was comfortable to walk around us without shoes on!! I felt soo special! We were the only 2 fans left in that place! Actually...Lisa left before we did!!
lol!! Christine and I then told her our Maggie..Blair Warner Warner quote and the expression on her face was so funny!! She said geez..and it took ME long to memorize that!! lol!! Then I just felt soo terrible about the journal when I got home and read it!! I hope that she is now home with her kids and happy!!! I wanted to cry when I read about her stressful week!! I felt soo
bad!! I hope everything is okay now!! Well I better go get to bed it's getting late!! buh byes!!

EXACTLY!!! When I met Galen Gering whoplays on one of my soap operas I asked if I could keep his water bottle becuz he was going to throw it away and he said yes and I had him sign it. But it does sound like they had a great time!
