Now my mom isn't allowing me on AT ALL on weekdays. I doubt anyone has noticed or cares, but I've been gone for the past 2 weeks Monday through Friday. My mom's banned me from the Internet on school days for no reason!!! I've tried to tell her how much I need the Internet but it doesn't work. I'm just so mad...this means I won't be able to post much anymore unless my mom lets up on her rule or I find a way to bribe her (fat chance). :( So......yeah. No more Marisa on weekdays (ya'll are probably dancing for joy). *le sigh* (Sorry Sean.) OK, I'm depressed. See you guys hopefully next weekend....

If they are try and make a compromise with your mom. I'll bring my grades up as high as possible if you give me some more internet time. At times you have to look a bunch of stuff up for projects and if I can't get online any during school days, how am I going to get my projects done? Yes, I realize I could check out books at the library to research projects- but the internet is at the tip of my fingers. It has so much more to offer than the library in town (especially if you live in a small town with a very small library).

If your grades are high, come right out and ask her why she put a limit on internet. If you do all your work and homework in a short amount of time (Just saying if you get out of school at 3 and you're done with you're homework by 4 or 5, what's the harm in a little internet time?)

Thanks so much for that post, Jenny. No, my grades are as they always have been. She told me she's banned me because she doesn't want me "planning my life around the Internet." COME ON! I'm not THAT obsessed. I do everything I need to do before I get on....I just don't get it.......

Parents have some pretty weird ways of thinking. Let me think for a second. Have you told your mother what you just said? "Mom, I could understand the limits on the internet if my grades were really low. I keep my grades up and I don't plan my life around the Internet. I just like to spend one or two hours online. I've made some really good friends on the sites I visit and I miss chatting with them. I know I'm allowed on the weekends, but the weekends just pass by so quickly. I appreciate you letting me sign on during the weekend, but with homework and this and that- it leaves me little time to go online. I wished you would change your mind about limiting my internet access. Would you let me come on at least an hour and a half everyday?"

If your mother budges on the hour and a half everyday, it might make her lift the ban completely. I hope your mom lets you come online during the week. We all miss you on here.
