Many episodes are available, but many (maybe even most) are edited with segments removed, replaced, shortened, etc. There is a good thread on here about segments missing from the FilmRise releases.

Yes this! You beat me to it!

I'm working on a project to comprehensively answer what is available, so eventually I'll have a firm answer, but from my preliminary work I suspect you are correct that most segments are not original.

I use the wikipedia page listing the original Unsolved Mysteries broadcast episodes (with air date and segment listings) when checking. I then try to find the corresponding episode on YT or other streaming service. I find that I usually have to adjust 2-3 episode numbers forward or back to find the one I actually want. And then, I need to cross-reference that with the Sitcoms Online thread listing the episodes and/or missing segments. Finally, you have to verify what the segment was actually named by the producers versus the person or topic of interest.
