Elizabeth Berkley, who flirted with the L word during her Showgirls days, is joining the Showtime hit for a multi-episode arc, sources confirm to me exclusively. She'll play the straight girl that got away from Jennifer Beals' Bette in college.
Berkley and Beals, in addition to being real-life buds, co-starred together in the 2002 comedy noir Roger Dodger. For a glimpse at their sparkling chemistry, check out this popular YouTube clip, shot behind the scenes on Rodger Dodger.
The L Word's sixth and final season debuts next January, although Showtime recently announced that the L-verse would live on in the form of a spin-off -- perhaps anchored by Beals and Berkley?
