one of the best programs I have seen where they pay a nice tribute to Freddie is the NCLR Bravo Awards. this was broadcast on FOX television in 1996, and the special tribute was to Freddie. His son, Freddie, Jr., came up there and received the award from Paul Rodriguez, and gave a beautiful acceptance speech, and Kathy sat there crying, the only time I have seen her do that.
And there were some great clips of Freddie. That was a nice show. We need more like it. :wave:

Where can we get a video of this? What sort of clips were they showing of him! I want to see a copy of this! :) I bet Kathy was crying cuz she was happy to see Jr up there...

I saw this before too, but i don't remember it all that well. I do have a picture from an old magazine of Freddie Jr in his tux holding the award. If I can find it, I'll put it up here.

I have a quick question. OK, I thought I had this specail taped myself because of Selena, but I can not find the tape anywhere. I was wondering though if this is the same program.
Now the one I'm thinking it is, it was hosted by Jennifer Lopez and Jimmy Smits. It was towards the beginning of the show, they showed the Barrio Boyzz singing a song "How We Roll" and then they presented an award for Best New Latin Album and it went to Selena. right before they presented it they sang a few words from "I Wish" accapella. Then Abraham Quintanilla came up and accepted the award on Selena's behalf.
Is this the same show or the year before? I'm so confused I wish I could find my tape! LOL

Which NCLR bravo awards was it ? All I know is Cheech Marin hosted, and Paul Rodriguez presented Freddie Jr. with the award, it seems it was December, 1996 on the FOX network.
