I voted No but I do not think it is abnormal, I just don't see my type of guy wearing lipstick and eyeshadow thats all. Guys wear powder for cameras for TV and stuff and thats perfectly fine but I don't think guys should wear eyeshadow and lipstick except if they're homosexual.

Some guys can look quite good in make-up, provided they have the right kind of face. Guys with delicate features can look pretty good with a bit of eyeliner or maskara. But guys in lipstick never looks good.
I could care less though cos I'm not into guys.

I had to wear stage make-up last year during drama club and I didn't look as bad as I thought I would. But I don't wear it outside of the theater. ;)

Guys in STAGE makeup, yeah. Otherwise, no.

(I always love guys who are either actors or musicians. I'm a bigger sucker for musicians, though.)

stage makeup is fine.

otherwise...um...no. No offense but I think I'd start laughing and think theres a guy with some problems if I was shopping for mascara and there was a guy downt he aisle comparing blush colors..no sorry- i cant deal w/ that. I still am trying to understand earrings on guys.

Guys wearing makeup? No.

The last thing I need to be doing is cruising the makeup counters at Macy's to find the right eyeliner that goes with my sneakers.

I think I'm gonna catch so much heat for saying this, but....

I personally think guys should wear makeup. I mean, not deep red lipstick or stuff like that, but eye-liner, maybe. Maybe even a little bit of eye-shadow. I personally think it looks cool.

Ok, well i for one vote that it is completely ABNORMAL... yea, stage makeup for people who are acting on stage is normal, but if i were to ever go to kiss a guy and pull back w/ a lipstick mark on me.. um, yea... i would call it an end after that one... I mean, if i were to ever be like "so, what time are you picking me up?" and the response was "after I do my makeup" yea, I think that would end that one....

yeah. i mean i only wear eyeliner. everyone i know always talks about how they want to look good for guys... well if you want to LOOK good for them, they prolly wont care about the rest of you. so i wear eyeliner, because I like it, not for anyone else. And if someone still wants to talk to my non lipsticked, visibly pimpled self, then i'll consider it.

I know. It's just a stereotype. I don't know why it makes a guy a freak to wear makeup, but not a girl. It's just guys didn't pick up on it. Would you think a girl is a freak if she stopped shaving her legs, wore boxers, have really short hair, and talked about "scoring" all the time?

id think she were cool. lol. i hate the word freak. it doesnt even have a real meaning. its just whatever some person finds to be diffrent from what they do. Some people call me a freak because i dress weird. some say Im a freak because I act weird. some people think im cool. some people think my cousins a freak, because she wears all pink and had blonde hair and only wieghs 88 lbs.

Yeah, I agree with Jeff. Thats like me saying oh I'm gonna wear a condom, first off I'm a girl and GUYS are supposed to wear condoms not girls. It's the same thing with foundation, or any makeup - it just isn't meant for guys just like how condoms aren't meant for girls.

Yes but you obviousley knew what my point was, a condom for a dick. Is that better? There are certain things that guys and girls wear... okay a better example would be a guy wearing a bra, he ain't got no tits and same goes for makeup, there is no reason for a guy to wear foundation.

BUt ya I see where your coming from Kristins that in your point of view it's weird, but I'm just saying why we have these so called "rules of society" where a certain person can and cannot wear. It always was just weird to me.

Ya well I just don't think makeup was meant for guys, but if thats what a guy wants to wear than thats okay I just don't find it attractive just odd. There is a gay dude at our school and people make fun of him because he wears lipstick and foundation and I'm against that though because if thats what makes somebody happy with their appearance then why should they be judged for it? Sorry for going off topic but that just annoyed me, anyways yeah if a guy wants to wear makeup then its okay but I'm not for it. I do find eyeliner attractive though...

what kinda bugs me is u call guys in makeup freaks, but ur beloved avril wears mens clothes and ties. of couse thats ok. and the point u made didnt work, because women dont HAVE dicks. guys however have faces and it is at least POSSIBLE for them to wear makeup. That's a very good point. Somewhere along the line it became acceptable for women to wear men's clothing but not visa versa. I wonder why.

BTW - I think Avrils wee ties are really cute :D

I said I thought eyeliner looked good, and I didn't mean guys couldn't wear makeup, and I NEVER said any guy who wears makeup is a freak. You are throwing words in I didn't say, I said I thought it would be odd if I saw guys wearing makeup such as concealear, lipstick, and eyeshadow. Also, Avril doesn't dress in mens clothes nor does she wear mens ties, they sell them in hot topic for guys or girls and she probably gets her own made too. And my "beloved" Avril, ok whatever I'm just a fan of her music I'm not obsessed or in love with her, I'm straight. I just think she is cool and has a great voice.

Yea, as Tommy Pickles once said "If girl can wear pants, and grown-ups can wear diapers, why can't boys wear dresses?"

Society has sterotyped so much that it's unbelievable. It's ok for a girl to dress like a guy and do guy stuff. But it's not ok for a guy to dress and act like a girl without being labeled a freak? Why not call the girl a freak as well? Good example with the Avril thing Dana. And no, I am not just picking on you Kristina, I'm just saying in general.

Oh, another thing about Avril Lavigne, yes she does have a punkish/tomboy flare to her clothes. But she has long hair, wears alot of makeup, and wears tight shirts that have things that girls would wear on them. She only adds a tie, braclets, and wears her hats sometimes to the side.
http://www.alavigne.com/Multimedia/pictures/miscellaneous/MTVAsia.com/03.jpg

As you can see from the pic she looks VERY much like a girl, she wears girl clothes so I don't know where you got men clothing from except a tie which is for either gender @ hot topics, also its not tomboy I messed up there she has a punk style. Punk doesn't mean for guys, spikey braclets are for girls or guys and same for ties. There is a difference between mens clothing and punk style, such as the hat to the side...

I'd say neither cause you can express the way you want but I was just wonding where the notion came from that girls can wear guys clothes. A long time ago, like say in the middle ages, it'd be weird for a girl to go out in public with out a dress, but look at them today. You think the same kind of thing could happen with males in the future?

I knw I've said this beofre, but again I'm not picking on you Kristina, I'm just using youre quote, that all. ;)

Avril's not punk. Even avril HERSELF said in an interview she's not punk. and punk has nothing to do with the way you dress. it's just about everything other than that.

Chill, I said Avril didn't wear mens clothes I never said anything else, do you not know how to read? I said Avril dresses in punk clothes and accesories not mens clothes - thats not insulting tomboys. I think there is absoulutley nothing wrong with "dressing in mens clothes" or ties, I might even get a tie too to copy Avril ;) it doesn't matter what people wear, everyone has different styles. Because I state my opinion about guys wearing lipstick and foundation you don't have to get all bitchy with me. If guys want to wear makeup then cool they could go for it, I just said I thought it was a lil odd for a dude to wear foundation. I think eyeshadow on Billy from GC is hott and Benji's eyeliner, so yeah I do think makeup can look good on a guy I just don't know why a guy would want to use foundation or lipstick...? I'm not putting any of that down, I think people should be able to wear whatever they want I'm just saying I'd think it was a lil odd and funny thinking of a guy using Cover Girl Smoothers lol. If a guy wants to wear a dress and makeup then okay thats fine, I'm not against that at all and same for girls wearing guy clothes I see absolutley nothing wrong with it.

Oh.. and you don't know what I think so I don't know why you made that comment because I have had a pair of guys shoes before and have worn guy shirts of bands a ton of times. You don't know what I implied. Yes I do normally dress in girls clothes but it could be guys or girls, I don't wear dresses or anything at all of that sort. So don't even try to act like you knew what I was thinking.

IDK but the only thing for men wearing makeup is when they dressing up as women (via cross dressing / gender bending).
