Liz started appearing on "PASSWORD" in the mid-'60s (even though her series was on ABC at the time), and quickly established herself as one of THE best celebrity players during the entire series. When "PASSWORD" was revived on ABC in April 1971, she was the first celebrity [with another great player, Bill Bixby] to appear during the very first week of the new series...and continued to appear regularly until "PASSWORD ALL-STARS" was cancelled in 1975. Of course, when "PASSWORD PLUS" began, she played the game as often as she could appear.

She was good at it. She really knew her clues. Did almost as good as Tony Randall

Allen Ludden once called her the best Password player. What a compliment, given the many, many people who appeared on that show!! :D

Liz was great on P+ and a really good player. There's a really funny moment on one of her future appearances on the show. Liz got mad at the opposing contestant when she shouted "Yay!" when Liz didn't know the answer to the puzzle, and she uttered back to her, "What do ya mean, 'yay'? That's not nice!" It was awesome.

Yep, Liz Montgomery was known to have an attitude and took herself and things she did (Bewitched is one example) much too seriously. I've never been a fan of hers. She was right at home though when on Password, this is a game show that also took itself too seriously. It is a simple word association game, these players act like they're geniuses when they arrive at a correct answer. Contestants on Jeopardy are more down to earth than this. Another game show that took itself too seriously is Pyramid with Dick Clark. LOL at those bonus rounds where the player has 60 seconds to reveal six answers. Whenever the player misses getting all of em by one answer, Clark walks over and analyzes the whole thing, he usually keeps giving clues to the poor player to see if they can guess the answer. LOL that is so lame. It doesn't matter at that point anymore, the game is over. Forget about it and move on to the next game already!
