When Disney announced the debut of the series of Percy Jackson And The Olympians for Disney+ I think Disney never thought it would become a smash hit for Disney+ and I think it will replace The Mandalorian as the #1 series on Disney+ and based on that success maybe Disney+ will do shows based on Rick Riordan's other books as well in the future and I also can't believe that Percy Jackson And The Olympians is already getting renewed for Season 2. Guess it received rave reviews on it's first episode

When you look at it from a different ball game when you base TV shows on books it usually means that it will be a hit. What I think happened with Percy Jackson And The Olympians was that I think Disney had wanted to see how a series based on the Percy Jackson series would work out. Because like some book series like Harry Potter and Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events and The Chronicles Of Narnia becoming movie series they became popular and with Percy Jackson And The Olympians it has become popular with a play and movies and now with the series a hit for Disney+ I think it has made Rick Riordan a huge millionaire author
