But I enjoyed it very much dakert 07-24-2024, 04:46 PM "Snoopy Come Home" 1972 I remember getting a free ticket from Washburn elementary school Caroline13 07-27-2024, 10:37 PM Don't remember the movie, I was 13 or 14 and do recall the young fellow I was with and how awkward we were trying to hold hands, I remember the cost of ticket, 23cents and 5cent popcorn cup.... Torgo 07-28-2024, 11:01 AM Jaws in 1975 when I was 5 is the first movie I remember seeing. TJ 07-28-2024, 05:34 PM It was probably one of the Jaws re-releases. My family used to go the drive-in theaters pretty often. If I had to name my all-time favorite movie, it has to be Jaws. I also remember seeing Halloween II with my brother at the library. They would let you reserve a room to watch movies on a TV. It's pretty crazy they even allowed a 8-year-old kid to watch it. JamesG 08-01-2024, 01:14 AM My earliest film memory was when I was about 3 and I watched The Phantom of the Opera (1925) with my dad and grandmother. I believe it was a VHS recording off of PBS and this version had background music. My dad read aloud the male parts and my grandmother did the female parts. I was fascinated by it and it spurred my interest in horror at a young age. I watched a lot of Disney and Looney Tunes shorts when I was younger, but I remember this being the first film that stood out. ThisLittlePiggy 08-13-2024, 09:44 PM I remember watching The Wizard of Oz when I was very young and I cried when the cowardly lion jumped out of the window in fear. I ran to my room, crying, I felt so bad for him. My mother had to come and get me and tell me the Lion was going to be okay so I went back and finished the movie. LOL |
