This episode is season 3 when the show hit its peak. Its probably my favorite for several reasons. The misunderstanding is hysterical thinking Jack is dating and marrying a old lady. All the characters have pivotal roles in the episode. The Ropers introduce Jack to Mrs Roper's niece and Aunt. Mr Roper has some great jokes in the Regal Beagle and so does Mrs Roper. The girls love that Jack is dating an older woman until Martha shows up at the door. The Girls then plot to get Jack to break up and enlist Larrry to do it. Larry has fall out of the chair antics with him trying to pick up Martha. Martha is not game and slaps Larry and runs towards the door trying to exit the apartment. Larry is hiding on the sofa. When Mrs Roper asks Martha "what is wrong" leads to endless punchlines that keep coming. Martha asks Helen, "How would you like to be seduced by a younger man?" Helen responds, "I hope you got his number" Then Martha goes and grabs Larry's ear and says "this is the man that tried to seduce me." Hellen says in a shocking voice "Larry?????" Then Mr Roper's look on his face is so funny and he explains, "You're weird." The laughs just keep coming. In the end its actually Chrissy that figures out Jack was dating Helen's niece and not her aunt.
I love when Jack tells the girls that his relationship is not just about sex and the crowd at the beach loved her in her bikini.

This episode is so well written and has endless laughs that still make me laugh out loud. Its so funny when Larry grabs the glasses of wine and goes into the living room but then runs back into the kitchen because he does not think he could go through with the plan. Then he sits next to Martha and asks her what is that beautiful scent she is wearing and Martha says: Ben Gay! :lol::lol:

This episode would definitely make my top 10 3's eppy list.

Had no idea that Claudette Nevins (Barbara) passed away in 2020 at 82. Yes definitely a top 10 favorite of mine as well.

She was a great actress. She played some very good villains a few times in Barnaby Jones.

I love this episode because all the characters from Larry to the Ropers, Jack, Chrissy, Janet all have incredible jokes and funny moments. Put it all together and its probably my favorite. Season 3 was sensational.
