…I wonder what the response would be if another Honeymooners lost episode was found.
I remember on the old Honeymooners.net message board hearing the news that the 1954 version of “Love Letter” was found by the University of Georgia, and subsequently it made the news. I remember seeing short articles about this in the paper. Amongst this publicity, TV Land quickly acquired the rights to air this and aired it 50 years to the day in Oct. 2004. I recorded it. Seven years later, just the sketch (not the Jackie Gleason Show segments that TV Lamd aired) were released onto DVD in 2011 by MPI with other lost episode sketches that were recently found but the news of those sketches being found were never mentioned in the news.
Now say if another episode was found today, what do you think would be the response. I can see someone uploading online. What about TV? MeTV amd Catchy Comedy have the rights to air the Honeymooners. But for whatever reason, I can’t see MeTV airing it. Maybe MeTV plus which shows more obscure shows.
