I always saw the 79-80 opening credits and the part when Larry puts his arm around who he thinks is a girl inside the bumper cars, and it's a guy with a mustache, who is he supposed to be?

View Full Version : Who is that guy sitting next to Larry inside the bumper cars in the opening credits? FOLrocks1 10-06-2002, 12:10 AM Just someone riding around. He wasn't supposed to be someone in the show or anything. He had to be someone important to be featured in the opening credits next to a cast member who was Richard Kline. I know he wasn't on the show but i do know he wasn't a ordinary person who was at the Santa Monica Pier. For example-i found out that the little boy who stares at Mr. Furley when he is yelling at the Lion in the Zoo Opening credits was the son of one of the producers Restless 10-06-2002, 01:08 AM Well, if he's not an extra, I guess they could have used anyone from the crew to do that scene, who knows.. He kind of looks like a young Howard Stern.. Sean Snow 10-06-2002, 01:11 AM Originally posted by CableTV Guy He had to be someone important to be featured in the opening credits next to a cast member who was Richard Kline. He was in the opening for the comedic effect. He was probably an extra they used that day... fr00ti 10-06-2002, 04:17 PM I never really wondered who that was... lol he is kinda Howard Stern-ish. Just because he was in the opening credits next to Richard Kline, that doesn't mean he was somebody important. I have to disagree-Why would anybody be chosen to sit next to a cast member in the opening credits? He had to know one of the producers or someone on the production staff. Extras are often in opening credits. rklinester 10-12-2002, 12:52 AM the guy was on crew and the little toddler with the ducks at the zoo is a very young Jason Ritter TVFactFan 10-12-2002, 01:51 AM Originally posted by rklinester the guy was on crew and the little toddler with the ducks at the zoo is a very young Jason Ritter Thank You very much-I knew that guy sittin next to Larry had to be on crew or related to one of the crew members to be in the opening credits. I suppose because they used Suzzane with a wig on the beach on the original opening that people may have thought so. I didnt see it until I became an adult and watched it on N@N. BestTVever 10-06-2023, 07:23 AM That scene is cut from local syndication. I didnt see it until I became an adult and watched it on N@N. I sometimes still see it. I think it only appeared on the 4th season. I cant remember which channel but I still see it sometimes. But even in the original airings, I believe it was only for the 4th season. But I have seen the shows so many times, I can barely remember when I noticed they started chopping up the intros. My local station in Philadelphia always cut the scene out when season 4 opening credits were airing. They also cut the scene out when Lana trips jack in the opening credits |
