View Full Version : Sad Story Involving Penguins... Jordan 10-05-2002, 12:29 AM At the Milwaukee County Zoo, approximately 11 to 17 penguins have died because of the West Nile Virus. I was so sad to hear because penguins are the greatest animals in the world and they make the best honking-like noises ever, and I was so depressed after I heard this......well, that only lasted for a minute, but it was still sad. :( :( :( DarleneIllyria 10-05-2002, 01:26 AM That is so sad. In Green Bay at the Wildlife Sanctuary, 4 exotic birds have died because of West Nile Virus, including the cranes that my friends Serena, Stacie, and I have lovingly named 'Niles' and 'Frasier.' I hope scientists can put a stop to it soon so that no more penguins die of it. My dads' cousin is actually studying West Nile Virus right now. Hopefully scientists will find a way to prevent the virus from spreading to other penguins and other animals. :( |
