The new installments of "The Amazing Race" and "Big Brother" will premiere Tuesday July 6th on CBS. No other details at this point.

It's about time The Amazing Race is coming back. It ended last summer.

I'm glad too. Survivor "All-Stars" has really disappointed me this season. The "All-Stars" are a bunch of idiots who either don't know how to play the game or are just ignorant and stupid. Not sure which one yet. It's been so predictable too. :mad:

I've always liked the Amazing Race because I like to see the teams scramble through the airports, funny. :lol:

Big Brother will hopefully be better than last year(the X factor sucked).

Big Brother 5 will air Tuesday and Saturdays at 9pm ET with the eviction live Thursdays at 8pm ET

Amazing Race will air Tuesdays at 10pm ET(yuck, I liked it better Wednesdays at 9pm). They will premiere July 6th with both being 90 minutes long(Big Brother at 8, The Amazing Race at 9:30pm ET)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - CBS is pairing up its summer reality-show franchises this year, creating an unscripted block with "Big Brother 5" and "The Amazing Race 5."
The two shows will premiere with 90-minute episodes on Tuesday, July 6. "Big Brother 5" will open the night at 8 p.m. ET, with "The Amazing Race" beginning its fifth global journey at 9:30. The following week, they'll move to their regular time periods, "Big Brother" at 9 p.m. and "Race" at 10.

"Big Brother" will stick to the three-times-a-week schedule that has served CBS well the past four summers. Episodes will also air at 8 p.m. Thursdays -- in which a player will be evicted from the house -- and 9 p.m. Saturdays.


Although there are likely to be twists along the way, both series will adhere to their tried-and-true formats. The winner of "Big Brother" will pocket $500,000, while "The Amazing Race's" victorious two-person team will split $1 million. "Race" has 11 teams this time around, one fewer than in past editions of the show.
CBS also says it will debut the Mike Fleiss-produced series "The Will" sometime during the summer. A premiere date for the show, in which a wealthy head of a family gives part of the family's assets to one of his or her heirs, hasn't been set.

Yeah I remember Jason, he was from Auburn(which is now only 25 miles from here) and Mobile I think.

I usually like Big Brother, but I hated it last summer. I really hope BB5 will be better.

I liked big brother last season. It was the first one I watched and I thought it became one of my favorite shows. Its annoying that amazing race will be on at 10. By then I'm to tired to enjoy T.V.
