Have you ever notice how in some episodes Ed owns the garage and in others he talks of renting it.
In the strike Episode he owns it and in the episode where Ed covers for his friend who is cheating he says he rents it when he tells Chico he can chant the rent out of the guys hands.
I noticed this and wanted to point it out.

I wondered the same thing! I've noticed the deal with the rent or own situation...
There are so many little things that don't add up or that are different from one episode to the next..
(Like Ed seems like such a prude, disapproving of fooling around before marraige, and then in one episode, asks Chico why he doesn't go over to a girls place that he just met because he could "have it made there", and the changing stories over Chico's father...etc...etc..)
I suppose little things like that are to be ignored to make the episode work!
All sitcoms have them, I think!
LOVE the show, despite all the little idiosyncs!
Another good example of that is Ed's middle name.
In the manuel episode where Chico tries to help Ed and Manuel mend their friendship he says his name as Edward Philip Jackson E Brown
in another episode(I can't recall which)he calls himself Edward M Brown,
And on the renewing the lease one with Della and the income tax one his middle name is Lester

I noticed so many things that just didn't add up. I had saved on my puter some bloopers that folks had written about here on the boards.

I think I found a blooper. Maybe someone could look help me. In the episode "No room in the Garage" episode 4 - Chico walks in from the rain. He takes off his raincoat and hat and he sees Ed's daughter. He says Hi Cheryl! Later on he calls her "Sharon" and so does Ed. Does anyone else hear him say "Hi Cheryl" in the beginning or is it just me?
I found another blooper in episode #23 The Hallowed garage.
In the scene Louie comes out with a fancy hat on to talk to Chico and the govt. officials but, if you look closely in the background. Rev. Bemis is standing ready to come out.... AHA! Another Blooper.........

Hey I just watched that this morning, I thought he called her Cheryl too.
I don't know if this is a blooper or not but in the episode where Chico considers leaving the garage to work for his cousin Carlos, Mable gives Chico a big gum passing kiss, but did any of you notice that when Chico says"Mable you forgot your gum" and goes to hand it to her-Mable still chewing her gum replies"keep it Chico as a souvenir"
If she "gave"him her gum how can she still chew it? I thought that scene was Hilarious.
wouldn't I have loved being on the receiving end of a kiss from Freddie or Chico or both
Minus the gum tho.
I don't know if this classifies as a blooper or poor writing(I don't think the writers expected the loyal fans here to memorize the shows. HA HA)
In almost all the shows where Chico talks about his childhood he has a different story.
He's raised with Carlos. and he's raised by an Aunt Connie(Connie never talks about having had children.)
He was raised by his mom but she dies when he is young.
and still another, in the Chico packs his bags show, Chico says he doesn't object to sharing a bathroom because he shared a tub with 7 cousins and left rings like a stack of tires.
It get's so confusing, but no matter Freddie and Chico are still cute.

Another possible blooper is in the Mando episodes where in 1 episode is a road worker, in another one he's a butcher & in the STRIKE episode he drives a gas truck or something & yet he's listed in the credits as being MANDO.
This may be another blooper too:
In the episode where Ed's friend (Played by Jim Backus) cheats on his wife:
Chico is telling Ed that since his cheating friends wife is interested in him that he needs to break it off with her. Chico starts imitating how Ed would break it off with her & how she would cry when Ed breaks it off with her& she'd need a handkerchief & Ed would give her one. Chico starts crying & needs a handkerchief & he pokes Ed in the stomach & says he needs a handkerchief (It's hilarious how he pokes Ed in the stomach) & Ed reaches in his pocket & gives his to Chico. & Chico takes Ed's handkerchief & wipes his eyes with it etc & later hands it back to Ed & tells Ed you shouldn't give your handkerchief to a married woman etc...
I noticed that when Ed gives Chico his handkerchief, it looked like it had dirty spots on it. I wonder if the handkerchief having dirty spots on it is a blooper?
In the episode where Louie has Chico & Ed sell his Studebaker car Rosebud for him, he says he's selling it cuz his wife thinks he thinks more of it than her. In a couple of other episodes tho he talks like his wife has been dead like Ed's. Nothing was written in the show showing her has having died during the shows run.
There is another blooper I saw but I forget what it is...
I remembered the other blooper! <g>
In some episodes Chicos full name is called Chico Ramon De Sanchez Rodriguez. In other episodes his full name is called Chico Ramon Rodriguez De Sanchez. In 1 episode (I forget which one) Chico calls himself Chico Ramon Rodriguez De Sanchez.
Another blooper (I almost misspelled cuz I am trying to watch the HOT HUNGA-RICAN on tv & he is really fuzzy on there & no sound but it is him in his jeans...) is on the episode where Ed tries to get rid of Chico, he asks Chico to separate all the nuts & bolts. He starts to but then Ed tells him to bring them into the old storeroom. Chico takes the drawer with the nuts & bolts to the storeroom but he never brings it back...
Here's a few more bloopers: In the episode where everyone thinks Ed has died, when Chico is eulogizing Ed, he is holding something in his hand that looks like a handkerchief. Then later it's not in his hand anymore...
In the crooks episode Chico is wearing a suit while fixing on a car. Why would he wear a suit to fix on a car I dunno. Then the crooks start coming in & robbing him. A coupla minutes later you see him having a party with the crooks & he doesn't have on his suit, he's wearing his blue chambray shirt & jeans. How could he have changed with all those crooks around? Another blooper!
Also in another episode when Chico is working on a car he is wearing a jacket to one of his denim suits. Mechanics don't wear suits to work on cars LOL!
& Here is a good one! In the episode where Ed didn't pay his taxes. Chico is wearing a blue chambray shirt. It is buttoned almost to the top except the top button is unbuttoned at the collar. A couple of minutes later his shirt is unbuttoned partway but he never unbuttoned it. Then a coupla minutes later his shirt is buttoned up again, then a coupla minutes later his shirt unbuttoned again. It does this all during that scene. & You never see him unbuttoning or buttoning his shirt either!
I found another blooper. It's in the NANCY episode where Chico starts dating Nancy a girl he used to go to school with who has the daughter Morgan. When she is with Chico & he is gonna propose to her but Ed comes down & asks did he propose to her yet. She had sets her purse down on the couch. It was one of those macrame type purse with fringe on it like they had back then. She get's upset & cries cuz she fells loved but doesn't yet want to get married. She reaches in her purse & gets out her hanky. Well, when she leaves with Morgan for the night, she never goes & gets her purse & she never comes back for it either, yet she still carries her hanky with her. Chico & Ed never notice she's left her purse either...
Here is another blooper which was on one of the Della episodes. It's on the one where Chico is trying to get Della & Ed to renew the garages lease & Ed watches soap operas a lot & cries over them. Already Chico had made the old storeroom in the garage into an apartment for himself to live in & Ed had sold the van. That happened on the episode where Ed is mad at Chico for staying out late & Chico moves out to an apartment only to wind up moving back to the garage & find out the van has been sold. So Chico makes the old storeroom into an apartment for him. Well in this Della episode, the van is there like it used to be & the storeroom is back to being a storeroom instead of being Chico's apartment. When we were watching this one nite, my hubby Mike said that he figured out that when they changed the set back from the Sanford & son one, the apparently forgot & put the van & storeroom back by mistake instead of Chico's apartment.
Also there is another blooper. On the episode that is just before the first Della episode, you see one of Della trucks in the alley of the garage. How could that be there when Della hadn't come there yet?
Another blooper. Chico had 2 suitcases which he used when he thought he was going to move back to NYC with his cousin Carlos. In the episode where Chico leaves cuz Ed Brown does like him staying out late, so he gets his own apartment, when he packs up to go he doesn't use his suitcases. He uses 2 brown paper bags with handles on them like they have in fancy department stores...
Here are some bloopers in the MARGARET'S DRESS episode where Ed Brown doesn't want his late wife Margaret's dress auctioned off to a Female Impersonator.
Ed Brown is watching a re-runs of the 60's sitcom MR ED about the talking horse. The theme song playing over the tv is not the Mr Ed theme song but some other song.
Ed has a ukelele that could be auctioned off but the strings on it are broke. The strings on it are not ukelele strings but are regular string like you tie up packages with.
Chicos friend Salvador acts like he doesn't know who Louie the garbage man is & calls him the black man. By then, Salvador should've known who Louie was.
When they are trying to auction off Margarets dress, a fat lady tries to bid on it. When the bidding gets too high, she passes on it & lets Brad Rushton have the top bid on it. The dress looked way too small to fit the lady!
Towards the end of the show Ed & Chico go to Brad Rushton, the Female Impersonators dressing room at the club he's performing at to get him to drop the charges against Ed & to make up with him. Chico has on a red pullover v-neck sweater over a blue shirt with slacks or jeans. At the end of the show they have just come back from seeing Brad Rushton perform. Both Chico & Ed have on suits with Chico wearing a red suitcoat & Ed wearing a tie. If Chico & Ed went to the show just after making up with Brad Rushton, then how come they are all dressed up in suits when earlier when they went to make up with Brad Rushton, they are not wearing suits. Unless they went to Brad Rushton's show on another date. Who knows????
Another blooper is in the episode where Ed is trying to get rid of Chico & Chico has conned Ed into signing a paper saying Chico will always work for him. Chic is working on a blue Volkswagon Carmen Ghia. Ed goes to the office for a few minutes. He & Chico come back out to the main part of the shop. A red truck pulls in to deliver some auto parts Chico has ordered. The VW Carmen Ghia is no longer there. It should've been there since Chico was working on it...
Also in the STUTTER episode with Rich Little. Rich Little character goes to the phone in the garage's office to phone Ed Brown & pretend to be Louie & Rev Bemis & pretend to be them apologizing to Ed. The phone on the wall rings in the main garage. Either the payphone was on a different number being a payphone or that's a blooper!
Also in the BATHTUB episode, notice the fusebox. There are no fuses in it!
Also in some episodes they make phone calls on the payphone & never put in any change to pay for the call.

In the very last Freddie Prinze episode, "Ed Talks to God", there is a scene where the camera is pulling back and you see one of the microphones up above....The camera dude and "mike" guy were out of sync....
Chica
In a few of the episodes I've seen crew members run right outside the door of the garage...
Ed Brown Jr
I think I've seen some strange things too in episodes that where bloopers also but I have to watch the episodes again to know for sure what they were.

Check out the first episode #26 with Aunt Connie. When they're all sitting at the table in the restaurant (the 2nd time that episode - when Ed proposes), she is showing quite a bit of cleavage. The next minute there is a kind of net scarf hiding her cleavage! One minute it is on again and the next minute it's off. I'm surprised Chico could keep his eyes off of that!!

Today as I was watching the Cousin Pepe episode I noticed a blooper at the end. When Pepe steps out of the limo to say good-bye, Ed points out that his driver is not a girl and he goes on to explain that he has a chauffeur and a butler-When Ed questions Pepe about the lipstick on his collar (the set up for the butler joke) I noticed that there is no lipstick, not even a mark of any kind on the collar-I would think they'd smudge it with something for affect.
Maybe Pepe's collar got mixed up with Ed's hanky in the show where Ed is covering for his friends affair LOL!

I noticed a few bloopers in the script for the first AUNT CONNIE episode. Rev Bemis is listed as being Rev Davis. Rev Davis is I think that first Rev that was on the show in an episode before Rev Bemis. Another blooper is Ed says:
You see Reverend, I'm an Episcopalian, the lady is Catholic and you are a Unitarian. Will that be a problem?"
From what I have read & heard Unitarians aren't Christian but are some other religion that believes in all religions & teaches a different religion each Sunday. Rev Bemis said lots of Chrstian stuff on the show & in that episode.& The church acted like a regular church like say Episcopal or Catholic. So that has me wondering if Ed saying the Rev was a Unitarian is maybe a blooper. Maybe they thought Unitarians were similar to Catholics or something?
