This is great news that after a 3 year hiatus they are coming back with 10 new episodes starting April 11th. They have in the past aired a couple stories that were also shown on UM. Let's hope they'll do more.

That's awesome . This show is the closest thing there has ever been to um. I like how all their episodes are available online too

I love that show and it's because there's still hope that the missing people will be found. And kane7474 is right, it's the closest thing to UM.

I like this show, but the narrator is horrible

the first case will be Bryce Lapsisa on April 11th.

With the exception of Brian Hinstad, whose remains were found just a few months ago, all of the upcoming 10 cases feature people that are still missing as of this post.

Shame on me for trusting Wikipedia.

I think this show is more than a bit overrated, well described by SiberianKiss a few years ago in a thread here. But I'll take a look at the new offerings. Seemingly they've had plenty of time to identify the ideal cases for this type of approach.

Sorry for the late news, but ID is airing a "Disappeared First Look" tomorrow morning (Saturday 4/9) at 2AM CST. It's a half hour special that just says "Viewers are presented with a preview of the new Disappeared season."

Sitting around talking about ID and some cases the other day. We all agreed that the disappearance of Kemberly Ramer from Opp, AL would make a good episode for Dissappeared. She vanished without a trace from her father's house in 1997. She has a thread on Websleuths if anyone is interested.

Wow. Not only does this show return but their first case is sort of a local one. If you want to call three hours away "local." Jessica disappeared from a gas station while working the graveyard shift ala Debra Poe. This happened in Norton Shores, Michigan.

My parents own a cottage on Lake Michigan in Muskegon, which is just 3 miles north of Norton Shores. When my family went up there two years ago for Memorial Day Weekend, that was on the heels of Jessica's disappearance and I remember seeing her missing posters everywhere we went and her face all over the local news.

I'm looking forward to seeing this episode.

Here's the CP page for her.

Interestingly, they searched Ponce de Leon, Florida for her (in another state). This is the same city where Ben McDaniel disappeared from.

Killarney Rose, did you know UM profiled a Opp, AL case? It was where an older lady named Opal was kidnapped after 2 perps robbed the Post Office where she worked. Thankfully, she wasn't harmed.

No, I didn't realize that. Thanks for telling me. I live not too far from Opp. Ponce De Leon isn't that far away either, we aren't too far from the FL state line, and PdL isn't too far south of it.
