I see that on Pluto they show O&H in real square picture format rather than the forced widescreen versions. Now I haven't bought the complete box set yet but I understand it's all in forced widescreen, cutting off the top and bottom of the picture. If Pluto shows them in it's proper format, where are they getting these from (I would have assumed they'd be forced to use the new box set versions) and if "square versions are so readily available I would hope the DVD people would re-release the complete series in it's proper format using the same souces that the Pluto is using. I was waiting for the price of the complete set to come down but instead it's gone up from $150 something to now $182.77! Maybe just maybe they're planning on re-releasing the complete set in "a more convenient box set style" that can readily be placed on a shelf (as past complete sets have done like I Love Lucy & Mission: Impossible) and also maybe amongst hopeful maybe's they'll release the new box set in the correct format. Let's hope sanity comes to the O&H DVD people and put it out in a normal box and in right format and REDUCE the price!

I was forced to watch these episodes (on the season sets) in letterbox, with all 4 sides scrunched in. I was eventually able to change a setting on the DVD player, which got it so now there are only black bars on the sides.

I was forced several years ago to replace my CRT TV with a new widescreen HD model, so the black bars aren't as annoying as they were on the old TV.

O&H should have been remastered in standard definition, and the episodes wouldn't have all these black bars for viewers to contend with. Then it would play normally and everyone would be happy. DVD is not an HD format anyway.

The episodes are so good, and so entertaining, and funny, eventually I just forgot about the bars.

I bought the entire series as digital downloads. Format is as originally intended.
