Moranis reportedly retired because he made so much money from the Honey I Shrunk the Kids movies that he did not need to work anymore.

It is highly unlikely, he already turned down an offer to lend his voice to the new Ghostbusters video game.

Rick is a great guy and very down to earth. I've never met him, but know people who worked with him when he was still with SCTV. It's sad we won't get to see his humour much anymore. Hopefully he'll do the odd thing now and again though.

I know - now I'm wondering if that was done on purpose - kinda to "bookend" his career. I hope not. Yah, he could be doing voice-overs at least. I imagine it would be fun for his kids to know he's voiced cartoons, etc..

JamesG 03-02-2009, 09:24 PM Tell you the truth I thought he had left "the business" years ago. I never heard his name coming up since the late 90s after the Honey We Shrunk Ourselves video release.
According to IMDB his last work were two Brother Bear films; second one in 2006.
