Does anyone know what the networks ranked throughout the years? For example, in say 1986--who was #1, #2...at the end of the season. I know the recent ones but i'm not familiar with the late 70's-mid 90's.

Well....in 1986...NBC was the #1 network, followed by CBS and ABC at last. Of course, in 1986 FT, Cosby, FOL, DS, and Cheers was airing.
