Vs.Hanna-Barbera cartoons of the 1970's and the 1980's-Which did you like better?I personally liked the 1960's versions of "The Flintstones"(although "The New Fred and Barney Show"was pretty good,as was the FIRST season of "The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm Show"and "The Flintstones Comedy Hour"),"The Jetsons","Top Cat",the syndicated "Touche Turtle and DumDum","Yogi Bear","Wally Gator","Pixie and Dixie and Mr.Jinks","Snagglepuss","Quick Draw McGraw"(horse)("I'll do the thinnin'around here,and don't you forget it!"),"Punkinpuss(Cat)and Mushmouse",as well as Saturday morning shows like the original 1960's version "Space Ghost",and "The Herculoids" ,and "Secret Squirrel","Atom Ant","The Hillbilly Bears ", "Squiddly Diddly"(octopus),"The Space Kidettes","Precious Pupp and Granny",and of course,"Scooby Doo".,all classics.But in the 1970's and 1980's,Hanna-Barbera became aimed at little kids ,and it showed,in inferior updated versions of "Space Ghost","The Herculoids","The Jetsons","Top Cat",and "Yogi Bear".A far cry from H-B's golden days of the late 1950's-1960's

I definitely like the HB shows from the 60's best. Of course i may be biased since those are the shows I grew up with. But I really believe they were better. there was something for every member of the family in those cartoons whereas the later cartoons were really only relate-able to young audiences.

I liked the ones from the 50's and 60's the best.

The 60's HB cartoons were the best, especially Space Ghost, Yogi Bear, and of course The Flinstones and The Jetsons.

I loved the HB cartoons from the 1960s when I was a kid. I wasn't even aware of any HB productions from the 1970s or 1980s until I read the posts on this thread.

i love all the HB cartoons from the 50s- all the way to the late 90s.

The 60's H-B Hands-Down!

Cartoons such as Top Cat, Secret Squirrel, The Flinstones, The Jetsons, and even my favorite H-B Cartoon Loopy de Loop were all in the 1960's H-B Alumnus!

I liked the older stuff best, and saw tons of it when shown later -- especially a lot of Snagglepuss, Snooper & Blabber, Wacky Races, and Augie Doggie. (How could the OP not mention Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy? LOL)

Although I did later enjoy watching shows like "Super Friends," "Hong Kong Phooey," "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids," "Speed Buggy," "Valley of the Dinosaurs," and "Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch" -- weren't most of those Hanna-Barbera productions? How about "Wonder Bug?"

Regarding Scooby, that was a '70s series, as IIRC it began around '69.

About the only series I never really got into was Grape Ape.

I had a Kenner "Give-A-Show Projector" with reels of Atom Ant, Precious Pup, The Flintstones, and Huckleberry Hound. What I liked about those was the ability to run the film in reverse...!

There was only ONE Hanna-Barbera product from the 1970's that was halfway decent:And that was the second,more sophisticated ,kind of;"The Superfriends"(and no,I DO NOT mean the first version of "The Superfriends"with Wendy and Marvin and wonder dog-THAT first version of "The Superfriends"was very babyish),with Zan and Jana the Wonder Twins and Gleek the monkey.I liked that version,AND "The Challenge of the Superfriends".Other than that,Hanna-Barbera in the 1970's was a very pale imitation to its glory days in the 1960's.Ah, H-B in the 1960's.

Like a number of others, I'm not a Yakka fan..too aimed at children and a prototype of Charlotte's Web and Heidi's song in a way-----H-B starting to get too child oriented. I'll stay with those that I love and they are all from the late 50s and some ["The Flintstones", the earlier the better, and "Top Cat"] for my tastes> :cool:

I love anything HB as I grew up watching HB and Sid and Marty Croft shows
