Before becoming the iconic character George Costanza on Seinfeld Jason Alexander was a commercial actor and one of his first commercials appeared in 1984 for Lipton Soup. The commercial begins with a group of guys having a barbecue when suddenly one of the guys eats a hamburger and then asks Jason what he puts in the hamburger to make it taste good and Jason replies Lipton Onion Soup. I don't know how old Jason was in this commercial but it would lead him to star in other commercials namely McDonald's commercials. It's hard to believe that Jason Alexander would go on to Seinfeld just from this commercial alone. I wonder if Lipton also gave him huge money just for promoting their soups?
