It's ashame that MeTV rarely strays from their schedule. They could have done a weekend promotion of MeTV Toons the weekend before the start of MeTV Toons.

Shows that they have access to could have been shown similar to when they started running The Flintstones where it was shown with The Honeymooners.

So besides The Flintstones/Honeymooners they could have shown:

Abbott and Costello cartoons/Abbott and Costello Show
The Brady Kids/The Brady Bunch
Wait till Your Father Gets Home/All in the Family
Help! It's the Hairbear Bunch/Hogan's Heroes
Laverne and Shirley in the Army/Laverne and Shirley
Fonzie and the Happy Days Gang/Happy Days
Top Cat/Phil Silvers Show
Lost in Space animated movie/Lost in Space
The Robotic Stooges/The Three Stooges theatrical shorts
Laurel and Hardy cartoons/Laurel and Hardy theatrical shorts
The Little Rascals cartoons/The Little Rascals theatrical shorts

I'm sure there are other combinations that Weigel has access to.

Other than that, MeTV should’ve promote MeTV Toons during their Saturday AM Cartoon Block and Toon In With Me during mid to late last month and early to mid part of this month before the MeTV Toons channel launch

They dropped the ball on promoting the new channel. Probably part of the reason they are struggling to pickup new affiliates.

Still think they should have pitched the network as a throwback to the original Nickelodeon concept. Daytime programming could have been cartoons and family programming, while nightime would have showcased classic shows, sitcoms and family movies. Someone like Lisa Welchel could have been the nighttime channel host.
