Furley was converting Jack to being straight and then once he does it he says he has to move out because his brother would never allow a straight man to live with 2 girls. How would Bart have known it wasnt like he lived in the building like Furley did? And wasnt Jack already dating and bringing women to the apt so while still pretending to be gay so why couldnt he remain there. And how come Furley just couldnt keep it a secret that jack likes girls and let him still live there since he was the one who changed him? lol

This is a ridiculous episode and one of my least favorites. The premise is idiotic and shows a lack of creativity with scripts at that point.
It always made me wonder the building owners were so old fashioned and not allowing men and women share apartments with different bedrooms. Yet they had no problem allowing an openly gay man live there. Would he not be having gay sex in the apartment?
In the first and second season this worked because Roper always was suspicious Jack was not gay. He saw so much evidence he was straight and always had to be convinced he was gay. We laughed at how Jack would keep it a secret with his gay antics to scare Roper off. By the time Furley came along, there was never any suspicion that Jack was pretending to be gay. Furley was convinced and the punch line was laughing at Jack because he was gay. It just became so annoying at that point.

Right its basically saying Homosexual can live with whoever but a hetersexual cant. Indirectly saying Only gay people can have sex:lol::lol::lol:

It worked so much better in the Roper years. But they had to keep the premise going all the way to the end. Everything just got ridiculous towards the end. In the beginning they were all broke and Jack had no job and lived together for survival. They had to make Jack pretend to be gay just to survive renting the apartment. It made for good comedy. But then towards the end, Jack had his own restaurant, Terri an emergency room nurse, and Janet a flower shop manager all wearing designer clothes. Each could afford their own housing. But the kicker is Jack still had to pretend to be gay. Even when Jack slipped up Furley was never convinced and laughed it off. All of the original premises that made the show work were gone. If Jack came out as straight when Furley arrived, it would not have impacted the show at all. But for some reason the show wanted to keep the gay narrative going which got so old by 1982.
Remember the episode where Furley and Larry think the roommates are moving out and Furley does everything he can to get them to stay. He would have really evicted them because Jack was straight? That's ridiculous.
