I'm the moderator of the freddieprinze.homestead.com site. I have been thinking about trying to set up an online chat with Isaac Ruiz (Mando), but I haven't had the nerve to call him yet because I'm not sure if there would be enough interest to make it worth his time. Thanks for the wonderful article. I think it would be fun to talk to Isaac. Count me in. Sounds like they had a great relationship. It was surprising to see how old Isaac is. Then I read how he was in his 30's when he played Mando, so it made more sense. I thought I was getting too old.

I took a look at the article on Mando and the pictures at your site--he was cuter than I thought, but I can't imagine he could have been Chico but for the charisma of our Freddie!

I've come across your site on the net & it's a nice site. I saw the pic on MANDO on a site might've been yours from CHICO & noitced he wasn't bad looking! Not as cute as Chico but not too bad either. I had forgot all about him until CHICO came back on TVLAND. I remembered Chico, Ed, Scatman Crowthers (Louie) & Della Reese & Raul the best from the show. That'd be neat to talk to someone from the show! Good luck with getting him to chat.

Don't misunderstand my post. I always thought Mando was cute too, but I always went for taller guys. And Freddie was tall, wasn't he. I have always noticed how he almost towers over everyone. I would love to talk to Isaac. I've already thought of some good questions to ask him. We have to be careful not to be too morbid or "screaming teenage fan" with him. This way we could get some great info from him without turning him off. So lets think of all the things we want to ask ahead of time. Write them down. Good luck, starshine, and keep us posted when.
