Someone on last night's show had written over 800 letters to Johnny Carson wanting to announce what Ed usually does, Heeere's Johnny. Instead of Carson having his lawyers write a cease and desist letter, this obsessed guy gets a long segment ending with doing the full announcement (first time I have heard the full Tonight Show part of it that Antenna TV usually has to edit out at the beginning). What a waste of Joan Embery, she got a lot less animals featured this episode. Partly because of this fan and also Doc's long cooking segment (that gets left in but several other times he has a musical number cut). At least Danny DeVito got plenty of time.
