UGH..I cant stand it each week when my best friend asks me how much I had made, then she tells me what she had made. I NEVER ask her how much she makes. It was fine when we 15-17, but now we're 18 and adults and its so annoying!! Why does she care how much I make? She only makes about $10-$20 more than I do, but thats because she puts in more hours.:mad: :mad: Grrrr...

Maybe you should start answering neutrally or something? When your friend asks you, just say 'The usual'. Then change the subject real fast.

It is nobody's business how much one makes or for that matter how much one pays for something! Very uncouth and impolite! One of my pet peeves! :eek: :rolleyes:

Next time she does that just say something like "What does it matter?" She should get the hint. It shouldn't matter how much money either of you make, and if she makes a big deal about you saying something about it.. oh well.. you don't need that in a friend anyway.

Who knows..thats what my other best friend (who Ive known much longer and I consider more valuable, yet I dont have as much fun with her) Jeanine said last year...she thinks theres a competition thing going on. Ya know, grades, $$, etc...Yeah..Im not one to speak up and I hate confrontation, so I think Ill take Jennys advice and just say the usual. Although what everyone else said was good too!

And another thing!! (OK, venting) shes always telling me that I shouldnt let people walk all over me and dont take orders blah blah blah..yet she seems to order me around sometimes. UGH..and shes very insulting and demeaning towards me (not me personally, but things I do/like), and I dont insult her or her things. Like, shes always making fun of the shows I watch..Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley..CONAN!!!! Calling them stupid and stuff-- she does it as a joke, I mean she laughs, and sometimes its funny, but come on...its getting old!! I dont insult Buffy, General Hospital, or Alias- because frankly I dont watch them nor have I ever so its not in my place to insult them!!! Ugh..I know. All my other friends think Im a lil crazy for liking Conan and all those shows..but they laugh about it and think its a riot-Amanda is just plain demeaning towards them!

That's annoying..... tell her it's just frankly none of her business!
