You have got to be kidding me. Tell me you're joking (I know you're not). I'm surprised Miami Vice and Picket Fences are back. Blind Date in January? WTH happened to TNN; sheesh. A movie at 10:00am, ooh, wonderful; not, LOL. Ugh. Now for the first time in like 2 years, I can say, thank god for Nick at Nite, they're hardly worse than this mess. TV Land keeps getting better and better (well, the Kitschen anyway). I think the biggest surprise to me with TNN is that they're keeping A-Team, Miami Vice and Picket Fences. Why not just have 4 hours of Rendez-View and another block of Real TV (Believe me guys, I'm being sarcastic).

This winter, I think January or Feb. Ren & Stimpy will be in it as well, a few new eps too.

I have no idea what TNN's problem is; it just doesn't compute. The sister stations are MUCH better compared to TNN. Seriously, they need to go back to being the country channel they once was. Or like you said add sitcoms.

I won't even bother mentioning The Deadly Black Bar.

Sell all shares of TNN, they just got an F - - - !!!

Uh oh. VH1 just voiceovered at the end of the 9:00 EST All In The Family (blocking the theme song audio!) and now I see Weezy. And now I don't (just changed the channel).

Gotta run.

I just turned it to Trinity Broadcasting Network Christian TV, which is MUCH BETTER than TNN right now! I"m watching a surprisingly BUG FREE program called Jack Van Impe Presents (he retrofits the current headlines and ties them into what the Christians call The Endtimes. Plus he's a "Regular Bible Encyclopedia" for he's memorized the Scriptures). Let's begin.

Let's do Spectrum Analysis

Yeah this is kinda stupid. Sounds like they're just running these until their contract runs out. I'm Very Sure their ratings were Low

Blind Date in January? WTH happened to TNN; sheesh. A movie at 10:00am, ooh, wonderful; not, LOL.

Bad Programming, Just Bad! Most people have gone to work or school, etc by 10:00 AM. Are they targeting shut ins or the elderly retired? Their parent company Viacom was just showing 60 Minutes on CBS and the special last Sunday spoke on how the TV People consider the 18-40 group sacred. So who does TNN target? The 18-40s aren't at home, much less watching TV. And aside from that, guess what the letters in COMPUTER add up to? 666. (I'm watching Jack Van Impe and typing.:D:eek::D Some combination huh?). Back to TNN though and I must say somebody has really 'missed it'. No need to comment on Blind Date; its a poor man's Love Connection w/Chuck Woolery.

Ugh. Now for the first time in like 2 years, I can say, thank god for Nick at Nite, they're hardly worse than this mess.

Uh oh. Jack Van Impe and his wife Rexella are hyping the movie Left Behind which was a DUD in the Box Office. $14.95 w/check or credit card. Amen. But let me say briefly that N@N is Einstein compared to TNN.

TV Land keeps getting better and better (well, the Kitschen anyway).

TV Land is a step ahead of N@N, which is considered Basic Cable (to mine anyway). Seems to me that TV Land is considered more of a Premium Channel for cable companies (like mine) to charge extra for. But and however, shows like Andy Griffith, Gilligans, Beverly Hillbillies, Brady Bunch, etc I've seen before LOTS of times! I shan't pay extra for the same old same old. To be fair, there are a few / were a few interesting shows on TV Land like Emergency, Dragnet, etc. that you can / could only see on there that I'd be interested in, but the list is not that long. But at least TV Land does have a purpose w/their airing. Probably the best of the Viacom Symposium, followed by N@N. TNN is dead

I think the biggest surprise to me with TNN is that they're keeping A-Team, Miami Vice and Picket Fences.

The A Team is the one show I watch on TNN. Why? Curiously enough because the combination of a Campy 80s type show and The Deadly Black Bar is so surreal! A Team is considered an adventure Disneyfied type show; the CHIPS of the 80s (w/CHIPS being made in the 70s). An Airborne Ranger (Mr T) who's afraid to fly and needs to be sedated before every flight. A crazy guy escaping! from the mental health center (Murdock) in the gaudy black van that always evade the MPs (see they're looking for the A Team to court martial them). M-16 bullets and explosives don't hurt or kill anyone and after each "incident" a camera shot shows the bad guys asking each other 'Are you OK?' 'Yea I'm OK'. JUMPS THE SHARK! And with THE DEADLY BLACK BAR, it makes for BAAAAD TV! Its pretty bad when a viewer watches your network just to make fun of your brand.

Remember this equation:

There's no such thing as BAD PUBLICITY BUT There IS such a thing as BAD ADVERTISING!

For Madison Avenue is God and AC Nielsen is His Prophet (David Halberstam in The Breaks Of The Game).

And TNN has just crossed the line into the realm of Bad TV (even considering their brand awareness, the way the Viacom promotes, etc). What is the point of this channel? Where is purpose? Where is common sense? You're not even bad in a campy sort of way (except for The A Team as mentioned. BTW A Team IS Quality TV. I used to watch it a lot as a wee one. Now I just enjoy it AND I make fun of TNN in doing so!

As I've said before briefly, I refused to watch Three's Company, Diff'rent Strokes (even though I hadn't seen it in YEARS). Hello TNN! Get with it NOW! I have tangible evidence that your standing had dropped big time (an F - - - ). And if I could find the Nielsen Ratings for your channel, I'd bet they suck. NSR or Not Sufficient For Reporting would be about right.

Why not just have 4 hours of Rendez-View and another block of Real TV (Believe me guys, I'm being sarcastic).

TNN has become a wasteland with no purpose. Sell all shares of TNN now! Abandon Ship! They're not even annoying in a campy way. They're just bad. To tell you the truth, and I'm gonna say this right now under The Anoiting:

Viacom oughta be ashamed of having this channel. If I'm a stockholder of Viacom Stock, I'd be selling shares NOW. This channel is ruining the brand and will have a residual effect on their stock portfolios. Yank this thing, sell it to Oxygen, put MUCH BETTER sitcoms, I don't care. Just Do Better! Now!

And the way I deal with Oxygen or Oxigyn as my old science teacher Grady Bailey said is that:

I Breathe It.

Amen.

Go ahead. Make my day TNN.

At least remove The Black Bar!

And the New Grade in TNN Spectrum Analysis:

F - - - (removing Three's Company added another - mark)

This concludes Analysis Spectrum.

That's right! I used to watch this network for wholesome family entertainment, especially The Waltons!

Oh good flippin' grief! ::gags::

This Network has disappointed me greatly. When TNN was slowly making its transition from country to...whatever the hell it was switching to, I enjoyed watching such shows as "Alice" and TV Bloopers & Practical Jokes. I was really excited. It looked to me like it was going to be a haven for 70's and 80's sitcoms mixed in with some other things. I was wrong. As of now, I'm staying away from this network trash bin.

If it wasn't for the fact that I know I'd get in trouble, I'd let off the longest streak of 4 letter words these boards have seen in ages

Why the <5 minute long bleep> are they <5 minute long bleep> getting rid of Sitcoms like Three's company, and critically downsizing Great and Pretty good programs (resp.), Amercian Gladiators and MadTV...

I'm becoming convinced that TNN is being run by the same people who ran Game Show Network around the time of October 1997 (Ask any GS fan what happened then, it'll keep you busy for a while)

I bet KIDS SAY THE DARNEST THINGS stay on TNN until June. While a good show like three's company falls off their morning lineup.

Ya know what TNN should do? Let they black bar slowly creep up bit by bit until it completely covers the channel so we don't have to watch that trash. That would be a load off my mind to see it gone.

Also, I don't think the schedule is all that horrible just because Three's Company is leaving it. TNN went down the tubes the day they got rid of Diff'rent Strokes. :thumbsdow

I'm sure Seth could answer this better than me, but anyway...

That wa known as the "Dark Period." GSN lost the rights to all Goodson/Todman shows (like Password, Match Game, etc.) and was left with game show libraries that were...not great. The only G/T shows on the air were "The Price is Right" and "Feud 94" because they are separate from the rest.

The shows I miss on TNN are The Waltons and Dukes of Hazzard. They should bring back the "Nashville" brand. At least then they would have a theme that would make them distinct from every other channel and give them an excuse to bring back decent programing!!!!!!!
