Hello All-

I am a huge Facts fan, and have been watching the show since it aired in the mid nineties on USA at all sorts of weird hours. It's mindboggling how big the show has gotten, because I remember a time when the online FOL prescense online was a website and a small mailing list.

Oh well. So guess what I did a few weeks ago? I went to see The Vagina Monologues in NYC. Being a guy I didn't really want to see it, but my girlfriend dragged me and guess who was in it...

Charlotte Rae!!

She looked great, shes a lot shorter in person that one would think. I have to say it was sorta odd hearing Ms. G talking about, well what they talk about in the show.

The whole time I was waiting for her to mention something FOL related and then towards the end, after a lengthy monologue on orgasm, she said 'Well you sure taught mrs. garett something new"

It was sooo funny. She seemed like a real liberal kinda cool person, she acknowledged early on in the show that some of the things discussed in the show were taboo for her generation, but that "things change."

So afterwards, we waited outside the small theater to try and take a picture. Now I guess I had a different idea of how it would go, I thought she would be overfriendly and extremely nice, and she wasn't mean, just not that friendly. I was kinda suprised, but I guess she's Mrs. Rae, and I was looking for Mrs. G. We asked if we could take a photo and she was like, "ok but I'm in a rush so only if it won't take long" and then we took it, and she wished me a happy birthday, even though it was our anniversary (But oh well she must have not heard me).

It was cool and the photo looks great.

Anyway, did anyone else make it down to the show or meet her? What was she like in your experiences?

I didn't see the show, but saw her walking out of the theatre about a week ago, and she looked the same as she did back in the 80's. She dressed funny...she wore orange socks!
