Washer and dryer at home .

I have a washer and dryer at home. The last time I used laundromats was in August and September of 2020 when our washing machine quit working. My brother and I used laundromats then until he bought a new washing machine.

I have always had a washer and dryer at home.

We have had a gas dryer and an electric dryer.
Gas dryer seems to dry clothes better, but the electric dryer, I could fix it if needed.

I could use some emojies about now.....

I grew up not many yrs post great depression, my mom had a washboard in her washing area, and wringer type washing machine and one had to be careful not to get hand and arm in wringer....then finally they could afford washer and dryer, Westinghouse brand as I recall, we were a Westinghouse home.....

I grew up in the 60's and 70's. My mom had a wringer washer and clothesline for drying. Yes, I used the wringer washer (Maytag) and it could easily pull your hand in if you weren't careful.
Believe it or not we still have it and it still works.
(we have it in storage in a garage).

On Mother's Day back in the 70's,(I was just finishing Jr. High School) my two older sisters and older brother and I pulled our money together and bought a electric washer and dryer for our mom. My two brother-in-laws put in the electric for the dryer and plumbing for the washer.

Our mom couldn't believe how fast it took to do the laundry and how least time she had to do it.

Foggy, I'd bet you are one of them with tons of STUFF in storage that will never be used again... Right????

Junkyard owners and scrapyard owners would love to get your stuff, your stored stuff is their living...
